Just bought a house with some damp in the dining room that supposedly came with an Apollo damp proofing guarantee. Having spent 2 months trying to contact them I have finally had my call answered to be told I must send a cheque for £180 before they will come and survey to do work that is under warranty. Absolutely ridiculous - 100% stay away from this company.

I had work undertaken by Apollo in 2007. 16 years later, some rising damp came back. All the remedial work to correct the issue was covered for free under the guarantee. Thank you,

Do have anything to do with rip off merchants. A hand-held damp meter tells you next to nothing, injecting expensive chemicals into your wall is about the worst thing you can do for your house. Companies that advise it should be taken for criminal prosecution!
