Andy’s been cutting my hair for 5 years and I’ve never had one issue, top bloke and the whole staff at Sigma are great and make it a great place to get your haircut, couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Where to start. I need to clarify with yourself that I am just an ordinary client that does NOT work for them in anyway when writing this. I appreciate and like everyone that works there, but this review will be a plain and honest opinion of my experience that I have had with them over the past 3 years. I also think it is worth mentioning that I am quite a shy person but I am also extremely particular about the way I want my hair to look. I have been going to this barbershop for around 3 years now and haven’t had a single bad, mediocre, or even good experience. Each and every time I go, the service is exceptional. They always welcome you with a drink when you walk in and are all really great company before, during, and after your haircut. I won’t go on and on about how lovely they are as individuals as I can appreciate that that is all personal and completely subjective. However, less so is the fact that there is an attention to detail at Sigma that goes above and beyond most barbershops that you will probably ever come across. Every single barber is highly skilled and works on themselves and their barbering every single day. Andy has been my barber for the most part and I truly believe that I could not receive a much better haircut from another barber anywhere else in the world. I know that is a big statement but he is precise, meticulous, and diligent. On the rare occasion you do find even the smallest thing, it is corrected within a minute. Most barbershops you go to in your life will be bad to alright at one thing… fades. And that’s because everyone wants one. They need to be decent at fading to survive as a barbering business nowadays. However, we all know that a fade does not constitute to a full haircut. There’s the top. The rare skill involved in barbering is cutting and layering longer hair. Andy is the best barber I have ever seen do this. His understanding of how hair falls is truly next level. He tailors the haircut to the shape of YOUR head and to the way that YOUR hair falls. He is passionate and tries his absolute best to understand the nuances involved with the hair of every client he deals with and consistently produces an exceptional cut. This is why you pay £35 for a haircut at Sigma. You aren’t just paying for a fade that might turn out okay. You are paying for a fade that couldn’t be better. A haircut that layers perfectly and is suited to the shape of your head, the shape of your face, the thickness of your hair. Everything. What more can I say than to go there, sit back, relax, and never worry about someone ruining your hair ever again. I won’t be one of those reviewers that says that “if I could give this place 11/5 stars I would do,” but I will say that Sigma is the definition of what a 5 star service should be. A true gem resting along the grey streets of Aberdeen.
