We booked our elopement from abroad and we are so glad we chose Maureen to perform our ceremony! She was so kind and helpful at every step of the process, guiding us the whole way. We would highly recommend Maureen as a celebrant. She was great from the initial meeting which was very personal and she allowed us to physically try out different symbolic rituals so we could decide what ones we liked. It was great being able to try the different ways to do the handfasting as we immediately knew which one we preferred.Maureen was so attentive and always got back to us by email promptly which we really appreciated. She always answered any queries or special requests we had.It was really helpful meeting Maureen for a final run through of the ceremony nearer the wedding day. It helped to remove any last minute nerves from the both of us.When it came to the day itself, we couldn't be happier with how our ceremony went. Maureen made everyone feel so comfortable and that included checking in on both of us aswell. All our guests had nothing but great feedback about Maureen and they all loved her personality and personalised touches that we were so involved with, which made the ceremony even more special.We both don't have anything negative to say about our experience with Maureen and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a humanist ceremony. Maureen was brilliant and really helped us create a ceremony we were so happy with. She guided us in the planning stages, keeping us right all along the way, even with the license application deadlines! On the day itself, Maureen helped us to feel relaxed even when we had some hiccups with the paperwork, allowing us to enjoy our day without any worries. Maureen Kettle was absolutely brilliant! We love the way she delivered our wedding ceremony in a personal, lighthearted and fun manner. Our guests also complimented the same. With one of us working in the UAE and the other in the US, it had not been easy preparing for the ceremony. Most of the preparation was done through Zoom meetings and emails. However, Maureen was very thorough and made sure we have all the info we need to prepare for the ceremony, from govt paperwork procedures (which we had no clue about) to suggestions on personal touches for the ceremony. The ceremony was perfect, it flowed so naturally and guests were engaged and involved too! After our initial celebrant could no longer do our ceremony due to personal reasons we were left in a bit of a panic. We contacted Human Society Scotland who were brilliant and responded straight away with available celebrants, thankfully Maureen was one of them, we loved Maureen from our first initial zoom, very warm and friendly. She kept us organised and in the loop at all times with frequent communication. The ceremony itself was brilliant; very relaxed, personal, emotional with some funny bits added. We got compliments all day, we even had family members say it was one of the best ceremonies they have been to! Thanks again Maureen, Emma & Steven.
