Lovely place to walk cycle or picnic, created by landscaping slag heaps from the coal mine which closed in 1968. The whole forest has grown up in that time although some of the pools were already part of Himley Hall grounds. Fishing by permit only. The tall chimney gives the park character and is a reminder of the past.

Amazing county park with so much to explore and enjoy. Great for families with the play area, awesome for dog walkers with many paths to follow and explore. They have offered camping in the past and I'm hopeful they do again. The rangers are helpful and friendly and it would be remiss if I didn't mention the Wolverhampton Model Railways club thsy run the miniature railway there. There really is something for everyone. If you have been pop along. Bring a packed lunch or make sure of the on site shop that does excellent food, ice creams and drinks.Remember change for parking, because you'll need more than an hour. Can't recommend this place enough.Found out today that the country park is the site of a former coal mine. Amazing history right on the door step. Read the articles posted around the refreshments hut, but will be doing some more research on line. I love knowing about local history, the people, the industry, what lay the foundations for what we have now.

Perfect morning at Baggeridge Park, we went early as it does become very busy later in the morning. After the kiddies Park we went for a walk and watched the dog training - grandchildren loved watching the dogs doing their assault course. Lots of different activities to do for all ages.

One of the West Midlands hidden gems, if you like walking, there are plenty of paths to follow. There is a small charge for parking so you need change for the meters. There are plenty of car parking spaces on the day we went, although we can imagine it will be busy in the summer months. You can have a hot drink, snacks,or ice creams at the cafe which is on site. The images I took on the day do not do it justice as it was damp and overcast. There is a good-sized play area for the children with large sand pit.

Great place for a sunny walk, car parking available £3 all day using coins or phone app. food and drink available. seating for picnics etc. Plenty of space to wonder. Lake and nature reserve. Small ride on train and play area for kids. An adventure area for the bigger kids too. (Adults) with zip wire and climbing etc. Not bad way to spend a sunny day. Can get bit crowded.

Been going for years with children/ grandchildren/ dogs. Had lovely afternoon with great grandchildren. Plenty of room to play, explore, go on play area. Plenty of benches to sit and eat food. Lovely cafe which sells selection of freshly prepared food and Kelly's icecream. Lovely local amenity which we are lucky to have.
