Barnewood Boarding Kennels Oxford

My two dogs had a great time at Barnewood whilst I was on holiday. In fact, the daily photos were incredibly reassuring and I would happily recommend them to anyone who wants a fantastic kennel for their dogs. These are just some of the photos of my dogs taken when I was on holiday. My westie is 13 and a half and was clearly loving the stay at Barnewood :)

My dog has been going to Barnewood for about 5 years now and it’s an absolute gem of a place my dog loves his stay immensely!! He’s fed loved and well looked after in all areas !!The staff are amazing and I cannot promote them enough but to say they’re fantastic.Highly recommended to anyone thinking about a stay away without their beloved dog , rest assured they will not be unloved and will be suitably looked after for all their needs .

Fantastic team and well trained staff. Everyone goes above and beyond to take care of your fur kids while your away. Highly recommend A+++

Tried to book our dog in, but were told we needed to take a mandatory tour. Was there within the hour, but by the time we were done, the place had been given to someone else. Very disappointing!

The service is nice for the most part, except I had to cancel my dog’s stay due to circumstances beyond my control. Barnewood refused to work with me regarding the sizable deposit I placed for the kennel. I was not even asking for a refund, and I asked almost a week in advance to alter my stay. The receptionist simply repeated that “the deposit was non-refundable and non transferable.” In my opinion this is a bit of a draconian business practice, and I would recommend caution before using Barnewood’s services. We all know plans can change unexpectedly, but this company offers no clemency for such events.

I left my pup here for just over week and honestly, my pup and I could not be happier! He was so happy there! I loved seeing updates and our pup came back from the experience a very happy boy :) the staff are so lovely and informative and the operation of Barnewood is first class! I would highly recommend fellow dog owners to board their dog(s) here.

We really struggled to find somewhere suitable for our dog, Reggie. He did not get on well at boarders and so we wanted to find a luxury kennel for him to try.We’re so pleased we found Barnewood, the home from home experience is incredible!We had our first tour with Emma and she really put our minds at ease, as we were quite anxious about leaving Reggie somewhere other than with friends or family.The whole vibe is super friendly and so organised. We booked Reggie in for his first 2 night stay shortly after our tour and we were so relieved to hear it all went smoothly.Holly was amazing looking after Reggie, really showed she genuinely cared for him and nothing we requested was too big or too small an ask!We’re over the moon that we’ve found a long term solution at last!The service we've received has been outstanding, we can’t thank Emma, Holly and the whole team enough :-)

My dog absolutely loved her stay at Barnewood, she didn’t want to come home! The staff are so helpful and reassuring, it’s very clear the dogs are treated as though they are their own. Loved seeing the Facebook updates too, will definitely be using them again!

Great place, the staff and facilities are excellent and you can go away confident you don’t have to worry about your dog.

The staff here are just amazing! Right from our initial tour round to every stay they are friendly and knowledgeable. My boy really enjoys staying in the home from home kennel and I get reassurance that his needs are met. I couldn’t ask for more!
