Alice Chapman Photography

We did a 4-hour morning session with Alice earlier this year. We decided to travel to Cambridge after seeing all the good reviews and photos which was proven to be the best decision made! Alice is such a nice person to work with. She gave us lots of help on planning our day in Cambridge. She made the whole family so relaxed that we could behave like our true selves in front of the camera (we didn't notice the camera anyway) which I believe is very important for a documentary type of photographic session.Alice was very patient when explaining the options available and spent a lot of time going through all the requests we had. We ordered a 10x10 inch album with a few additional pages. You can tell the quality of the album straight out of the box. I chose a muted blue (a bit like light denim colour) leather fabric for the album cover which looked even better than on the screen (we were based in London so could only do online sessions with Alice).The overall outcome was fabulous. We had a very memorable family day out and a perfect album sitting proudly on the collectible shelves recording the good time we had together. I'm sure it will be a very precious companion to the family for many years to come. I can't wait to show it to my boy when he's old enough 'Look! This was Mummy and Daddy took you to Cambridge when you were 2 yo. Look at your cheeky face. Wasn't that adorable!'Thank you Alice for making this happen!

I was looking for some specific business and financial planning advise for my photography business and booked a 6 month mentorship with Alice. Something which I felt quite overwhelming was broken down into manageable and realistic goals across a 3 year plan. Alice is so focussed and attentive, and her wealth of knowledge, ideas and attention to detail in everything she touches is second to none – don’t even get me started on the spreadsheets!Not only is Alice an incredible documentary family photographer (with countless awards to show for it), she is also pleasure to work with and her extensive background in Human Resource management provides a knock-out combination for anyone looking to advance their photography business. I’d recommend her in a heartbeat.

We had such a fun and relaxed session with Alice - it was a really lovely way to spend a Saturday morning together - and she captured us all so authentically and beautifully. I loved Alice's approach to the whole process, with a phone call initially to find out more about us and explain how she works, the session itself, and then her care in showing us the photos and different products we could buy. We are so delighted with all the images and how they captured this phase of our family life, and will no doubt enjoy them for many years to come. Alice is an incredible photographer and a pleasure to work with. She’s brilliant at working with a family, putting children at ease and not creating any awkwardness or fuss. We hoped to get a few nice photos of us and the children - we ended up with a beautiful album full of images which really capture our family life. The photographs that Alice has captured for us are truly special and will certainly serve as an amazing memory for ever and more.Alice spent a morning with us for a session as we wanted to get some professional images with our 9 month old. She immediately made us feel very comfortable and worked around our normal routine, accurately capturing the moments our little one woke up in till he wend back down for his first morning nap.Her work is absolutely amazing, the photographs were amazing and she captured moments that we will treasure for ever. We loved the pictures so much that we had no doubt in our minds that we were going to get the digital versions of all of them and along with that came 5 stunning mounted images. I run two nurseries and have used Alice to take our nursery photographs for several years. The results are superb, she captures the children as they are, in a totally natural and unguarded way that makes most nursery photographers work look staged and forced. Definitely use her if you want memories that show you how wonderful, fun and playful your children were.

Alice is simply exceptional at being able to capture the most beautiful and genuine moments of family life.
