Herdwicks Cafe
I would have written this review initially just for food & hospitality - a cute cafe with comfy vibes. Cakes were fresh & delicious. I had visited them twice in a row for the cakes. They do brunch (both veg & non-veg options too).But its not yet another cafe in Coniston - I left behind my purse with quite alot of valuables & the kind staff not only just kept it safely for two days but helped in dispatching it back to me :)Do we still have such kindness around ? I am just very deeply moved with this token of gratitude shown by the staff in the cafe.Can't recommend this cafe enough. Please do visit them. This small business with such strong values catered & rooted in your business is going long way. Rooting for them & its gonna be a pit stop for every summer Lake district trip.Thanks again to all the staff of Herdwicks cafe. Much love & gratitude <3 :)

A great cup of coffee with gluten-free options for cake etc. Friendly staff. There are also a wide selection of gifts and souvenirs that are reasonably priced. And well behaved dogs are welcome too.

Friendly staff, great coffee, lovely place to take a break. Cakes looked amazing but didn't try any. Vegan sausage roll was highly rated. Dog friendly cafe, although a badly behaved hound was in there when we visited, constantly barking at the couple of other well-behaved hounds who were just chillin', which made it slightly less relaxing this time. Grrr woof!

This was a nice cafe. We didn't have a meal, just a coffee and cake. The coffee was really nice.The cafe itself has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and if you have a dog, they are welcomed - even have their own biscuits!

Come here for food instead of the hotels on the high street. Lovely service, great food and amazing views. Not to mention the fact that it's off the road so you get a bit of peace and quiet! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating area and dog friendly as well!

We have been in here a few times for drinks in a morning & decided to have a spot of lunch in here today.We went for toasted sandwiches which were delicious.The staff were very helpful & friendly. Dog friendly which is lovely.If you are in the area you should definitely visit here.

Lovely cafe with indoor and outdoor seating which is off the main road. It’s dog friendly and staff are welcoming and friendly.Marked down a star because how expensive the food is - such as £10 for a jacket potato with 1 topping. The service was also a little slow on that day but we weren’t in a rush.

Herdwicks Cafe
We called in to Herdwicks Cafe for a warming latte after struggling to get to the village during the heavy snowfall this weekend. I was amazed at the welcome given by the staff. They were brilliant, the brought a wool fleece for my very wet Spaniel Sid and he even got a couple of treats. Thank you x
