The Model Centre - TMC

Once again, TMC has done a superb job of renaming and renumbering a locomotive, this time another one of my Hornby Britannias. It is impossible to see how it has been done, the loco looks as if it was made that way, a true testament to real craftsmanship.

As an American interested in British railways, this is the perfect place to shop. Good prices, fast and affordable shipping and most important to online shoppers: secure packing. I ordered a number of different resin buildings (which quite fragile) and every single one of them arrived pristine. Super happy with my order!!!

I was able to find exactly the item that I needed. The Web site was very accessible, navigation was very easy, and the ordering and checkout process was fast, efficient and trouble free. The transaction involved an advance purchase and I was able to confirm the order without having to make payment until the item was confirmed as being in stock and was despatched. The purchase was packaged well and the delivery arrived in perfect condition. Overall this was a perfect transaction and everything was to my entire satisfaction.

Have had many Steam loco's and a few wagons weathered by TMC. All completed to a very high standard. Turn round times are also usually slightly quicker than quoted. When I did have a problem (my fault) it was sorted out straight away. Can not recommend TMC high enough.

I received my TMC weathered Accurascale MDV and coil A wagons this week and the standard of weathering is stunning. These are exactly the look I remember them running in South Wales in the 1970s and 80s, excellent work by The model Centre again and thoroughly recommend their weathering service.

I live in the US, so ordering anything international from a retailer can be a challenge. I placed an order with TMC, but there was a problem, which I found out about a couple days later. While trying to use the website I managed to create 2 further identical orders and pay for two of them. As this was a weekend, I had to wait until Monday and called TMC. They were extremely helpful, they refunded 1 payment and cancelled the two accidental orders. Corrected the delivery address on the active order.One month later my order arrived (not bad for some enhancements and international shipping). TMC were very helpful through the whole correction process. And I will probably order more from them... though I may avoid trying to fix orders that have issues, and just call them - they're really nice guys!
