Coombs Quarry
This can be either reached walking from the bridge on the a421 or with a limited parking spots at Coombs Wood. Either way this isnt really in great shape when you get there. With possible fires been started near to the old quarry, also plenty of rabbit holes to twist ankles in and the steps down into the quarry would fail many a health and safety test. There are info boards on site and one picnic bench. The quarry itself does have small fossils in which leads people to pull at the quarry face, which in parts is a little loose. Interesting but needs looking after better, which I know is down to funding , but these things either need to be looked after properly in the national interest or we will lose them and in this case I can also see people getting hurt here unfortunately
