John and his brother are great guys to deal with, responded quickly to emails and stripped a couple of old chairs which came up beautifully, ready to collect after 3 days. Very reasonable price too! Would highly recommend them!

I booked for same day service and received the door with broken glasses. The glass was broken on delivery and John argued they aren’t guaranteed for glasses referring T&C on their website.The door was transported unsecured hence the glasses broken.Not recommended.

Great experience, 4 doors 1 exterior and 3 internal. Picked up at 09.45 and back by 17.30 brilliant service would recommend.

We had a Victorian era front door thick with paint. John asked for a photo of it and got back immediately with a good price for a same day service. It's come back perfectly stripped ready for a new beginning. It has five small panes of plain glass and they are fine too. The pick-up and drop-off were perfectly timed. Am really pleased with the result and can fully recommend.

Outstanding value and excellent service from Ben and John. Finally got round to writing a review following completion of my house renovation last year. As part of the renovation I needed all the doors (11 in total) from my thatched cottage stripping back to bare wood. They picked up the doors from our house in Hampshire and after the doors had been stripped we visited their location in Rickmansworth to inspect the doors prior to waxing. Following the waxing of the doors they delivered the doors back to us. Absolutely superb !

I called John as wanted my dark stained oak fireplace returned to the lighter natural colour. I sent over a photo and received a quote promptly. Once I agreed, the fireplace was collected and returned soon afterwards. I was worried that the dark colour couldn’t be changed especially on some of the decorative parts.I needn’t have worried as the final final was fantastic with a coat of wax on it. I would thoroughly recommend using this company in the future.

John was fantastic. I was thinking of replacing all my doors but sent a photo to John who advised me they were the original doors (Victorian property) and that they would come up really great with all the numerous layers of gloss paint removed. He returned them today and was true to his word they are absolutely fabulous! He removed them, took them away and rehung them when brought back. He’s a really genuine guy with a great sense of humor. Saved me a fortune on not having to buy new doors. I now have better quality doors in keeping with the age of my property far better than I could buy new for a fraction of the price. Who could ask for more? I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to all. Thoroughly chuffed from Guildford.

We had 2 Victorian internal doors stripped and sanded - very impressed with service and result. John responded quickly and picked up doors and returned at mutually convenient times. Would recommend.

Had an old metal table, four chairs and bench in a sorry state. Tired of painting every two years only to have them start flaking after one. Google found Herts Door Stripping. Herts DS collected all the items, stripped then powder coated and delivered back. The furniture is transformed and looks better than it has in years. The finish will last far longer. A brilliant service. Thanks John!
