Leg O Mutton
A not-so-little gem hidden in plain sight. A mile-long nature walk between the roads and the Thames.

One of the most beautiful and hidden spots in West London. Best way to get there is along the Thames Path heading west about a mile from Hammersmith Bridge. Look for a fork along the river walk and take the left path. This will eventually bring you to a gate which will lead you into the most peaceful and picturesque pond, that will transport you away from the hustle and bustle of the city…

Lovely nature area. Good for relaxing and bird watching.Close to Barnes bridge. Next to the Thames river and the running/cycling path between Barnes and Hammersmith bridges.

Excellent place for a light walk. It's a little pond that you could walk around.. that it is in London is a place to kept as a secret.

Lovely little loop to walk around. Dogs have to be kept on the lead. It’s mostly shaded so nice and cool in the summer and because it’s raised up, it can also be less wet and muddy than other nearby places.Lovely view of the pond and also of the Thames in some areas. There’s lots of benches to sit and take in the view/have a sandwich on! lovely ambience noise with lots of birds singing. There’s often swans in the pond. There are loads of really gorgeous huge wide trunk trees too. There are a few entrance gates from the Thames path and also from the other side on Lonsdale road.I usually do a loop then walk a little extra along the river.

A beautiful and peaceful (apart from planes flying over) Nature Reserve, accessible from the north in Lonsdale Road opposite Verdun Road, or from the south from Small Profit Dock Gardens. You can walk along either side of the lake, beside Lonsdale Road or parallel to the Thames Path.
