How many of these people actually have children at the school. I have had grandchildren here for a total of 12 years and have been impressed. The head has done an excellent job. Rules are there for everyone. My grandchild was told about his haircut being against school policy. This was accepted and his mom didn't feel the need to go to the press with it.

Religiously intolerant school that shuns diversity. Told a little Sikh boy that he couldn't wear his Kara to school. That's like saying to a Catholic you can't wear your crucifix/ cross to school. School admin is predictably relying on their inconsistent policy document to justify the claim. Incredibly stupid in this day and age. Summerhill Primary is now famous for all the wrong reasons.

A haircut does not necessarily mean that they are racist. I have curly hair and they accept me, being a proud mixed race person. I leave my hair down because it is short and they just have a strict hair cut policy. That's all.

If your child is a victim of bullying at this school, don't bank on them dealing with it. I am now removing my child after 6 months of issues. 2 of which involve another pupil cutting my child's hair without consent, which the school not only don't consider to be assault (despite it legally being assault and battery) but they also won't deal with it at all if there were no witnesses" there are multiple safeguarding issues within this school that needs serious intervention and I will be taking it to relevant authorities."

How can you ban a little boy from the playground because of his haircut?! He should NOT be punished over something he has no control over. Absolutely ridiculous... I suggest the headteacher read a book about afro- Caribbean hair and stop putting all children into the same box. It's 2019, this school should be ashamed of themselves.

How on earth does a skin fade distract someone from learning? Terrible school with staff that doesnt appear to have an ounce of any sense. This school has no place in the 21st century.

I was here from reception- year 6. This school is one of the best. The teachers were amazing, everything was amazing. Love this school. Brings back so much memories. Wish I could go here again

Been great with my girls settled in well moving from Telford. Also helped with my other daughter to get her into this school faster as was on a waiting list by the council. Only few days later than her other sisters she was back in school thanks to the staff for helping me get my children in to the same school ☺

unfortunatly this school used to be good until it turned Into a military camp! The teachers speak you parents disgracefully there's no communication, all the Good teachers have left and new staff are all clueless, I pulled my 3 children out in October 2016 after many years of battling with them, they say there an inclusive school but for years my son who's now 10 with cerebral palsy was unable to have access to classrooms or go on coaches, I was having to take him. They are very petty not allowing parents to attend therapy appointments, they like to have full control and once you try and challenge them they gang up and make you feel like your all to blame, best thing I did was take my children out of this school, kids are ment to enjoy school yet most of the children are crying clinging to there parent because they don't want to go, maybe if the teachers cared it would be a better school, ranking them 1 star is way to generous!!

Was browsing this primary school for my son but then came across their discriminatory hair cut policy. Skin fades still banned. Cultural insensitivity and racial bias. It is 2022. So good for being an inclusive school. Vile head, needs to challenge her own unconscious bias. Wouldn't send my child here, if it was the last school in earth.
