It would be nice to speak to a human being, and if you are going to use automated service, please can you get the people that installed it to check it out as it does not work, probably spent a lot of Tax payers money for something that cannot be used. Also can you get the switchboard to answer calls within a certain time frame no one should have to wait over 5 minutes for someone to answer.

What is the point of a council when they are no longer working for the people? Terrible service and increased rates! You can no longer speak to anyone. I should hope all the employees are sacked especially the directors. Waste of space! All councils should be dissolved.

Utterly incompetent. It took three months to acknowledge that I'd moved into the borough and for them to issue me a council tax bill. I completed the forms on their website, emailed them directly and spent 40 minutes on the phone to machines with no sign of a person anywhere. Once the bill arrived, I paid my first installment and set up a direct debit for the remaining amount. When the confirmation of instruction arrived, they had failed to adjust the total sum owed to account for the money paid. Not a problem in with any other local authority but as there is no one to speak to and emails go unanswered in Enfield, I am not expecting a swift resolution.

Mostly empty building as the useless staff continue to work from home. Wasting our money in every way possible. Disgrace

Satisfactory access to Enfield Council Services seems to depend on being able to access the 'Contacted' account. My didn't work, despite going through the registration process sucessfully. So I can't access the Enfield Council Services e.g. to pay my CT or view the account. I reported the problem via their online form but have not received a response after some two months.So they have deliberately designed it that people can only really access the services via the Contacted portal, and it doesn't work and they don't respond to technical problems i.e. they are avoiding their responsibility to provide services.Pretty disgusting really.

Brilliant council. Does so much for the ungrateful people of the borough and still looks after their long term residents who actually pay the rates in full, on time. The website has lots of access and info, the local council always tries to put on events for everyone. They are very helpful for building issues and able to speak to someone senior quickly when any big problems arise. I've lived in Enfield for twenty years and I've been very happy with the council so far. I do hope I don't eat my words after this review!

This is a dreadful council, intent on forcing people (residents) onto online contact only - so leaving pretty much no way to speak with anyone at the council directly, without an unbelievably long wait, after having going around and around the automated phone system, until you give up or simply choose a random option in the hope of actually speaking to someone. That being said - if you can make contact, the people are normally helpful. DO NOT MOVE HERE - THE PLACE HAS TURNED TO SH!+ OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS

The worst borough in London hands down. Their website does not work just like their Telephone Automated service. When you finally get through to a human being they answer the phone grumpy like its 1am in the morning on their day off. The first thing they say to you after you explain their problem is 'Did you email ''such and such''?' No I didn't because their email isn't anywhere to be found. You email 'such and such' and get another automatic reply saying that you should use the website that doesn't work... I'm just trying to pay my council tax via Direct Debit and its just impossible to do...

Staff are rude. Issues never resolved in a timely manner. Frustrating that there is no accountability

All this council care about is getting your council tax money my property has been empty for nearly 7 weeks and they are insisting on charging me the full council tax bill.there is no waste for them to remove of which they have not done so for 7 weeks and all they can say is that you have to pay your bill in full.how can you charge me for something that you are not doing.The council tax charge is a complete rip off as people are struggling to pay and even so you get no exemption at all disgusting.
