Devil's Towers

also known as the Boom towers - a chain was hung over the river to control access in medieval times, presumably to facilitate taxes being levied to craft with goods wishing to off load at the Common Staithe (ABC Wharf) or at the Dragon Hall that was a merchants warehouse. Lots of trade with the Hanseatic League.

Cool piece of history but you will not spend more than about 3 minutes here! A worthy detour if you are in the area (retail park, stadium etc)

Why is there no information board at this historical place? Come on Norwich Council!
