A friendly and professional service. On dropping my bike of for a service I was run through possible issues to manage expectations. I had never had that done before and the information provided was knowledgeable and I knew the bike was in good hands. I have just been out on the bike following its service and the difference is marked. Quiet, smooth gear changes. Obviously the bike is all the better for the work completed.

Amazing experience start to finish. Great to experience from reaching out online to ask about having my bike serviced, to pick up. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff.Required my bike to be serviced by a Trek retailer, could have went to Evans but opted to travel to Doune to support a local business and delighted that I did.Bike is running amazing, feels great on the trails. Will definitely be back.Also really appreciate the Info in the Kids ride shotgun seat - will return in the months after Xmas to pick one up for Me and the wee one!

I found the service from Martin and his team to be excellent. Martin is very helpful and knowledgeable about cycles and his enthusiasm for the sport shines through. Martin has a good business philosophy and the fact that he carries out a bike fit for each customer buying a new bike is a great way to make sure customers get the best experience they can from their purchase. The service team are also very helpful and knowledgeable. It's good to have a friendly business like this in the local area that I know I can rely on for help and support. Keep doing what you are doing.

I came to Roots for bike fitting as well as repair after meeting Martin at the Caledonia Etape. Martin is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, was extremely patient with the bike fit after many iterations and didn’t push any products or services that weren’t essential. I won’t go anywhere else in Scotland for any cycling needs from now on. Thanks!

I would give Roots Cycles 10 stars out of 5 if I could. I have visited the shop twice and bought once. The first time was just to have a nosey at a new (to me) bike shop. Martin couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful but the standout was the ice hockey chat that he had with my wife. I managed to squeeze in a couple of bike related questions here and there… A good few weeks later I saw that Roots were selling something I wanted at a great price so I felt it was worth a 100 mile round trip to buy it from him rather than doing my usual online thing. Excellent customer service again and this time we managed to slip out without too much said about hockey! All of that was worth 5 stars already. But since then Martin has gone above and beyond to help me resolve an issue with a third-party linked to the item I bought. Considering how generous the initial sale price was I think I now owe him for the time he has spent. I am happy with the way things have been resolved (it was slightly less than I hoped to get but more than I expected in the first place) but he is not and I think he and I are going to have an argument next time I buy from something and he insists on giving me a discount and I refuse to take it. That is 10 star customer service right there! Thank you again, Martin.

What a great place! I bought a bike and helmet today and the owner couldn't have been more knowledgeable and helpful. I'll be servicing my bike here. It's great to have this service available locally.

I’ve been using Roots Cycles for several years and the service from Martin and the rest of the team is always excellent. They are friendly, helpful, efficient and very knowledgeable. I bought two Trek bicycles from them some time ago and the after sales service is second to none. I can’t fault them in any way - 10 out of 10 every time!

Arrived after lunch and Martin from Roots Cycles gave me a full professional bike fit, advised on the bike, sorted out accessories and gave an incredible amount of useful advice on bike maintenance and care. The team even stayed open an extra 15 minutes after closing to make sure I could take the bike away the same day. I really appreciated the quality service and will be back! The team at Roots have always been very helpful and are super knowledgeable. We have had incredible service from them and they have helped resolve / fix issues that we inherited from cheaper online suppliers.
