AAA Taxis

Really poor experience tonight. We were picked up from Preston and we asked to go to Leyland. The taxi driver told us, ‘sat nav says motorway’ we said ‘ok’ once we approach the motorway there are closure and diversion signs but the taxi continues onto the motorway and once we’re on it ends up that the m6 south junc 32 is closed. We ended up travelling towards Lancaster, this is through no one’s fault as the sat nav did not pick this up and at this point I would expect that the clock is paused as this is no one’s fault but no… we are expected to now pay to Lancaster and back all the way to Leyland, we literally couldn’t afford this, neither had we planned this. I rang the switch board and they couldn’t have cared less, telling us we needed to pay. We reached Lancaster and the clock is saying £38. The driver reluctantly agreed to pause the clock at this point as he had to come back anyway and we asked to be taken back to preston and dropped off at the Black Bull as the charge was going to be ridiculous. As we were two young girls with no way of getting home at this point due to the cost, we were then left with having to ring family members and see if anyone was awake and could pick us up. We were charged £38 and told they were doing us a favour by not charging us more.Let me tell you that if you would have paused your clock accepting that the Lancaster journey was no one’s fault then turned it back on at preston and got us to Leyland I’d have paid you and left a very good tip and a really good review, because that kindness would have gone a long way, I’d have felt for you driving out to Lancaster but felt you were a decent and responsible person but you didn’t, you decided to just charge us, show no compassion or care and now risk losing our repeat business and getting a bad review.Seriously just be better, be kind, be considerate, be a decent business

Booked a pickup from Manchester Airport and prepaid £64. The driver called me asking me to walk out onto the entrance road to get picked up. He ended up stopping on a roundabout on the other side of railings, rushing me into the car since he wasn't supposed to stop.I assume this was to avoid paying the airport pickup charge (which I'd paid the £64 based on him paying!). Luckily I only had a backpack with me, if I'd had multiple cases it would have been a nightmare.I also didn't get a receipt even though I was told via email I would. When I called to ask for one, I was told I'd have to visit their office to get one...

Definitely avoid this taxi firm. They are ripping people off. Charged us £27 for a 5 mile trip that took 10 mins on a quiet Sunday morning. We even had to guide the driver there because he had an old sat nav that didn't work properly. Absolute scammers.

My go to Taxi firm in Preston. Good prices. Always available. I never use anyone else.

Driver 174 was amazing, our plane was very delayed and the driver had no complaints, he was waiting out side the terminal and then helped with our luggage to his car. Would use again and recommend.

Charge £20.00 for a 13 minute journey. Rang HQ and told because it was outside of 'Preston Borough' that its a fixed price. Other car firms in the area charge £5.00 to £8.00. I'll think twice about ever booking with this company.Just checked and both the hotel and the destination are within Preston Borough..... Nice try AAA

Taxi driver number 174 was amazing, I was running late and he knew the quickest route to take and got me to my destination quicker than expected and safely.

First time using aaa for a return journey to the airport and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Had a text when the car was on their way and they were perfectly on time . Lovely drivers on both trips and even when delayed flight yesterday the driver collecting was kind and patient and waited for us. Thank you for making it stress free! Many thanks Steph and Mike

Booked a taxi to pick up from Manchester Airport, called 3 times to find out where they were. Stuck in traffic. At the end of journey we were asked for an additional £15 as the fare took over a extra hour . So be aware of this as even if it's not your fault, you have to wait, you still have to pay. Feel like I have been robbed
