Stow Hall Gardens
Lovely to have a wander around, and let the kids run. We went for the apple fest and got to try numerous amounts of different varieties.

Absolute gem of a place. Beautiful gardens, even at this time of year. Wide variety of plants, shrubs, vegetables and fruit. Very reasonable admission fee (£5). A reasonably priced self service cafe is available and a few items such as Stow Hall notebooks etc are available as gifts. I highly recommend a visit and the annual pass which is excellent value. Well done to Stow Hall for keeping this wonderful garden open.

I would recommend going here for seeing flowers, plants and trees in a natural setting rather than uniform , it was lovely walking around without feeling rushed. We will be returning now we've found this little gem close to home.

A tranquil haven of peace in our chaotic world. Many trees of types I have seen nowhere else. I will return again soon

We were greeted by the very helpful & friendly Head Gardiner, who welcomed us, explained the layout and showed us pictures of the hall no longer standing. These gardens are enchanting with lots of secluded places with seats to sit on and enjoy the tranquil surrounding. You can also walk through The Chase in the parkland to the lodge. When we visited there were only a few other visitors so had the place more or less to ourselves. The map we were given was beautifully illustrated and comes with a history and explanation of the different parts of the garden written by Lucy Hare, a member of the family that still live at Stow.A lovely place to while away a few hours in a garden that is truly cherished. We will definitely return and would recommend you visit too. At £5 per person it is real value for money too.

There is something very special about Stow Gardens. They have survived 3 houses on the site. The walled garden with its old apple tree arches and quince avenue very peaceful, and there are some wonderful nature trees in the park. Plants for sale and excellent tea room. Open on Wednesdays.

When I went to the gardens I thought they were seriously beautiful and I love the self catering cafe that there is. I also love the peacocks that stroll the gardens and the village. It’s a shame I can’t go at the moment. I can’t wait to be able to go back!

Beautiful gardens. Lots of areas for kids to explore. We went February when the garden opens for the carpet of snowdrops.
