Absolutely useless solicitors, they completely messed up my step fathers probate, entering the wrong information and it's been over a year since he passed and since unresolved. With no apology and causing deep distress within the family. Too often giving the excuse of COVID causing them delays, which is unacceptable and irrelevant, their incompetence has caused the delays.

Absolutely awful experience buying and selling through them! Have to send several emails asking for a response to correspondence sent to them, they took 7 months to process the sale of my house and I had to keep asking for updates and asking them to take action. I ended up having to contact the housing association and real estate agents for responses as our solicitor didn't follow follow things through or chase replies.

Double & Megson have been very helpful with the sale of our property. They were persevering with the short, but nonetheless somewhat tangled chain involved in the sale. They have always been pleasant and direct when we have had to contact them. We have used them for numerous matters in the past (including other sales, wills and arranging POA). I have recently moved house and employed the services of Double & Megson's conveyancing solicitor, Sev Singh. It was a chain of at least 4 sellers/purchasers and proved to be protracted and frustrating - through no fault of Sev's. He was on the case (and on my side!) throughout. He returned all my calls or emails promptly, and he was reassuring and patient. If you are moving house I would recommend Sev any day.
