Fantastic people working really hard to help animals and people in need including the homeless. Will help when others can't or won't.

I would not recommend this shambles of a rescue. If you look at the reviews Rebecca the director has even given her own Rescue and review and thanked herself. Most that have given 5* are either volunteers or employees (now ex) that have left. Rebecca has done nothing but threaten myself and others for concerns regarding her rescue. Trolling to the point of posting my son (who was a minor at the time) and myself all over social media. Even veiled threats to pay my home a visit. Disgusting and very unprofessional. If I could leave zero stars I would. Avoid at all cost!

The volunteers at this rescue centre work tirelessly for the animals in their care, providing rescue. pet fostering, a pet food bank for the poor and even a 'bed for the night' for pets of the homeless when using shelter accommodation. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Our little dog Honey came from them (initially as a foster) and their support has been fantastic. They are knowledgeable and compassionate and most importantly, put animals first.

About a year ago when Wags and Whiskers were under the name BARC they allowed me to adopt a dog (EBT Dex). I had been pushing to get my wife a dog to help with her severe mental health (depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts). Wags and Whiskers were the only dog rescue centre south of Edinburgh to offer me a dog. They were brilliant then, and they are brilliant now.

Could not care less about the animals,it's all about how/where they can scam the most money.I volunteered for them, adopted a dog and then when i left, they publicly posted on their Facebook page that i was sacked for stealing and substance abuse(pure fabrication) and that i'd also stolen the dog i'd adopted! They were helpful enough to post both mine and the dog's pictures with information about where i live.I had to contact the police in the end who advised BARC to cease harassing me and indulging in libel.AVOID!

My little Yorkie went missing. A kind and compassionate young lady, to whom I will be forever grateful, found him near the M4 motorway and took him to the Bridgend Animal Rescue Centre. When I went to collect him it was with much relief that he was safe and sound and being looked after so well I'm sure he would have been quite content to stay there.I expressed my gratitude and made a donation to their fundraising efforts. Where would animal lovers be without such kind and caring people?I wholeheartedly commend this and all other rescue centres and would appeal to animal lovers everywhere to support their local centre. Like me you could well one day have every reason to be grateful for their efforts
