Well maintained grounds set in a beautiful area. Walled gardens were a bit bare although we were not in a growing season. Noticed no Drone flying signs were posted up near the entrance.

Not a huge amounts of ruins but this EH place (free to enter regardless) is a lovely area especially to take a picnic. There is a little EH hut for guide books and this was hosted on this day by the lovely Barbara a more perfect volunteer you couldn't wish for.

How on earth do you rate an ancient piece of history 100's of years old? The Priory ruins are beautiful, but the crowning feature has to be the remaining far wall, dominating most of the site. Some of the features of this structure are amazing, beautifully worn away but still standing strong. It's a beautiful open space rich in history and anyone is welcome, as are donations for the upkeep of the grounds.

Beautiful, well-maintained grounds with one star deducted for the compost loo which has no effective hand-washing facility: hand sanitiser is much inferior to soap and water. One tower of the remaining wall has a plastic ceiling above which is what must be decades of stinky guano from the birds who have made it their homes for many generations. Very yucky.

Guisborough Priory is one if my favourite places. A hidden gem tucked into a quiet town full of history and serenity. Guisborough Priory Project do a fantastic job of keeping the place well ran and have worked hard to restore a lot of the site.

Good place to chill out and do a little exploring with the kids. Plenty of benches tucked away for picnics and stuff and walking the full route takes a good 35 minutes. Keeps the kids occupied.

Lovely place to visit, very quiet and dog friendly. Person that greeted us on entry was really friendly and knowledgeable about the priory and took time out to show us masons marks on building and answer more of our questions. Worth spending an hour or so visiting.

Such a beautiful place. Very well preserved. Clean and tidy. Free to walk around and view. Pets are allowed on the lead. Amazing place for a picnic on the grass or if you go further in there are benches and tables and bins provided.
