Training with James is always varied and fun. Not only does he tailor every session to your individual requirements and goals but he also makes them fun with interesting games or variations of exercises.Benefits for me have been a noticeable increase in overall strength, fitness and balance.

I absolutely love all of James Hilton's classes: entry level, moderate level, resistance training (and have even tried the falls prevention class). He is an expert trainer but brings such an element of fun and laughter into all of his classes. James's classes should be prescribed on the NHS - prescription medication for depression would fall radically. His laughter is infectious!

So much more than a Personal Trainer. James Hilton is incredibly informed, intelligent and exceptionally able to deliver high standards of personal fitness and lifestyle training and advice. I would not hesitate in recommending time with James, most of all the sessions are relevant, varied and FUN.

I got some good news today. 14 months ago I was classed as pre diabetic based on elevated HbA1c. I made positive changes. James Hilton supported me throughout. Tough weekly Training Sessions but we also discussed motivation and different approaches. Today my HbA1c is returned to normal ranges. I’m going to carry on with this project but it’s great to know that the work has reversed my risk of developing diabetes. I honestly wouldn’t have seen such great results without James‘ training and support.

I've been training with James for nearly a year, and he's the best Personal Trainer I've worked with in Stroud. His extensive knowledge and support in helping me achieve my goals have been fantastic. Being older in age and having only recently returned to exercise, James has always made me feel comfortable during our sessions. Thanks to his expertise, I've been able to perform movements and exercises I would not have attempted previously but now love! If you're looking for a caring and knowledgeable Personal Trainer who brings fun to every session, I highly recommend James.

A year ago I couldn’t manage a press up which was an issue as I’d just signed up to compete in a charity horse race at Ascot! Whilst I had to learn to ride a race horse, before I could race I had to attain a 60% average pass mark across six gruelling exercises whilst being moderated at the Jockey School in Newmarket. I passed top of the class with an average of 80% & I had at least 10 years on the rest. How? James Hilton, of course. James’ research & dedication ensured I was properly prepared for the test. Weekly training sessions to build core strength and improve balance and stamina were key. So too were the supporting exercises to develop the skills necessary as well as mastering the six exercises themselves. I’d recommend James to anyone seeking to attain a fitness goal or simply improve their physical fitness.

James is an irrepressibly upbeat and empathetic PT. No matter what level of physical ability you are at, he can devise an appropriate set of functional movement exercises to help you progress. His balance work has really helped me to rehabilitate after a nasty fall which had knocked my confidence. His approach is fresh and you are guaranteed to have some fun along the pathway to better fitness!

I do James' classes online as part of Goldster, exercise aimed at the over 50s. His instructions and demos are clear and the classes are varied and fun. Anyone can take part and improve their fitness.

I started personal training with James eight months ago. We initially worked together to decide what I wanted to achieve and this has evolved over time. I am currently training to walk a half marathon next month, something I would never have thought possible this time last year.James is extremely knowledgeable and is always very friendly and patient.Making the decision to invest in my health is one of the best things I’ve done and I feel both physically and mentally fitter than I ever have.James is such an amazing motivator. I have to work hard, but it’s great fun.
