Ordered carpet and lino 4 weeks ago. Local store subsequently phoned to arrange fitting today. Fitters arrived first thing" as we were first on list. This was after 11 am btw!! Didn't leave until well after 2 and had another 4 customers after us. That's why your fitters don't turn up

I give this company a 5 Star rating only due to the carpet fitter and his mate. They did a brilliant job - well done. The store staff I give them a rating of 1 star. I did phone up the store to find out when the carpet would be fitted. The reply I got was Your on the list". The reply I think I should have received was " You are on the list Mr Martin - but I will contact the carpet fitter to find out what time he will fit the carpet - and I will let you know" - that is what I call customer service - which I did not receive.Would I use the company again - NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The reply from Dilan of Carpetright amazed me. Did you read the review - I do not think so - that is why I would never use them again."

Gone are the days the left hand knows what the right hand is doing at Carpetright. Morning fitting booked, room cleared. 2pm still nobody here no call nothing: called store. Told by ‘trainee’ Justin he doesn’t know how to contact the fitter to know what’s going on, nobody else in the store can help apparently. Didn’t take my details despite offering order number. Won’t be using again. Carpetwrong.

I do not usually write reviews however, I wanted to share my recent experience with Carpetright Hastings branch. I was given a date for my carpet to be fitted and although they could not tell me what time my slot was, they assured me I would receive a call the morning of the fitting stating a time they’d be here. This was important to me because I did not want to lose an entire day off work when I knew the job would only take an hour max. The day came round and I did not receive a call I tried to call Carpetright several times and could not get through to anyone. Eventually the fitter arrived at 3:30. You can imagine my frustration as I had taken a day’s holiday for nothing! What frustrated me even more was that the fitter has supposedly told Carpetright he could not be with me until 3 at the earliest yet this information was never passed on.The carpet was fitted and I thought this to be the end of it, but no it wasn’t. The carpet had not been quality checked properly and had a massive fault throughout. In the words of the fitter “I have never seen a carpet quite so bad”. He told me to go into the branch at the weekend and promised to go speak to them personally that evening- he didn’t! When I went into the shop the following weekend it was the first, they had heard about it which was appalling. I was offered no compensation for my lost day of work and an insincere apology. They agreed to order a new carpet but could not confirm a fitting date, all they said was it would either be the following Saturday or the one after that. I was promised by the lady in the shop that she would personally call me on the Monday to confirm a date. Again, no call back!After countless calls and leaving voicemails with the hope of a response I still heard nothing. Realising the only way to speak to someone would be to head to the store again I travelled there the next day and a few days later (leaving work early both days) to find the store had closed early. I then travelled there again on the Saturday where it was closed again with no signage to explain why.Carpetright Hastings has the worst ever customer service and instead of compensation for all the lost time and money (not to speak of the stress) ‘they will only take responsibility for replacing the faulty carpet’. I most definitely would never recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered carpet and vinyl throughout newly refurbished rental property. Long delay before earliest fitting date. One room left as bare boards. We were told Estimator 'forgot' a room so it wasn't on the order (which was only total square meterage and price so we couldn't spot it). Had to argue with company that it was their mistake (we do know how many rooms there are in the house). It was agreed they would carpet it at no additional cost and a fitting date was arranged. This was now urgent as tenants due to move in 5 days later. Fitting did not happen on due day, store told me it would be done the following morning. It wasn't done that day either. Store very difficult to get through on phone, which sends you to answerphone but they don't call you back. Store staff blamed fitter and said there was nothing they could do about it. Not interested in sorting it out and expected the fitter to call me. Called customer services 3 times to try and escalate but was referred back to the store. Everyone had my phone number (store, fitter and customer services) but no-one rang back to update me for another 24 hrs. Carpet was finally fitted the Saturday afternoon before tenants moved in on Monday. Website button to make a complaint sends you to a blank white page, which just about sums up this company's attitude to problems. Will never use them again.

Just had my Carpetright bathroom vinyl floor laid by Matt of Artemis Flooring for Carpetright. He did a great job, paying attention to detail, he was punctual, polite, courteous and hardworking. He also cleaned and tidyed up in there afterwards. The flooring looks great now in there. I would highly recommend!

Unfortunately, despite the retail experience being adequate and the staff member who came out to quote (Taz from the Eastbourne store) being incredibly helpful, this can only be a 1 star rating due to the fitting service.Having arranged our work around the fitting time/date early in December 2022 nobody arrived on the day. Eventually we called to see what was happening and another team were sent at short notice, but they could only do half of the job because 'the carpet had been cut to the wrong length.' (This wasn't the fault of the team who attended, they did a good job of what they could fit).Nobody made contact with us about the problems or to arrange a date to complete the work - we had to call and do this after 2 weeks of silence.The work was finally supposed to be finished today, Jan 10th - again, our plans have been arranged around this, and again nobody has arrived. My partner has now been informed that the work won't be carried out today because of some other error with the carpet. If we hadn't called wondering where the fitters were (again), we clearly wouldn't have been told about this. We've been told that someone will be in touch to arrange a new date, but based on the above I'd be very surprised if this happens.In short - both customer service and basic communication have been as bad as they could be.I'd strongly recommend using an independent carpet retailer/fitter if you're in the Hastings area; we certainly will be in future.

Hello,no problem with store staff,just an enquiry. Having chosen some expensive lino,and requested it to be fitted professionally, the price came in,and We were quoted a charge of £30 for the delivery. Now if the fitter was coming to fit the lino,surely He needs to bring lino with him.We even said we would collect lino ourselves, but was told NO.We were reasonable pleased,until this unreasonable price charge was imposed. It left a nasty taste in my mouth.Regards Peter Snape

Unprofessional - chose carpet right for a home visit for a quote for our hallway and stairs. Individual from carpet right was scruffy and unprofessional. They had to call colleagues during visit as they could not answer questions we put to them. Told us to call another branch as they had more experience as lots of new starters where they worked. We had no confidence going ahead with carpet right and decided to go with another company who were professional and knowledgeable about their products.
