Pizza Express
Arrived feeling tired and hungry after a day moving into White Rose View. Left feeling full and refreshed. Pizza was quick and delicious. We were served by Hollie. So friendly, helpful and genuine! Felt that she really took time to look after us. Would definitely go again.

I always love Pizza Express, had high expectations when I went in for dining. The manager on seeing us (our colleagues) was very disappointed. Didn't understand the reason at first. Food was delicious as usual. But the way he treated us was very unprofessional. Whe the food came out to be served, he asked his colleague who took the order which table it was for. After knowing it was for our table immediately he asked his colleague to serve it than him. We thought that the manager usually won't serve the food. But then he was happily serving others in the restaurant except us. Only then we realised it was something to do with us. We can see that he was happily welcoming others. There was a false fire alarm when we were dining and then he personally went to each and every table except ours explaining not to panic as it was a false alarm. Duh... Even when processing the payment, he was half minded as he has to do it for us. Initially he asked the waitress to process it, but since we had a voucher which the waitress don't know how to process it, then he had to come and talk to us to process the payment with so much hesitation to even talk to us a few words. We were feeling so avoided by that manager. Dear Pizza Express, this is not the way the customers are to be treated. We are not untouchables...

We came here on Sunday during Pride, a little out of the centre so we got to escape the crowd, we were served by Courtney who was the most smiley waitress I have been served by in many years. Food was excellent. I ordered a Rustichella, not on the menu anymore (basically a crime against pizza as it is truly sublime). Place was clean and service was fast.

It's clear that the management team is doing an outstanding job ensuring guests have a great experience every time.But what truly sets this Pizza Express apart for me is Courtney - a server who embodies all the qualities of exceptional service. Her thoughtfulness shines through each visit, as she remembers to provide me with the vegan menu without prompting, aware of my dietary preferences.Courtney's kindness doesn't just stop at the menu; it's in the way she ensures that my lunch experience is always delightful. She has a knack for making you feel at home, her service never rushed, always making sure that my meal is just as I like it - which is a rare find in the hustle of daily life.Her attentiveness and ability to make every patron feel special is what I look forward to every week. After being seated, it took them 20 minutes to take my order. The place only had a hand full of people inside max. This is the 2nd time ive been in here and it seems like nothin has changed. Staff just to busy talking at the bar to deal with customers.The pizza that came was fine, but the side of chips was just covered in Grease, totally soggy all the way through.After food was eaten, we sat for another 20 minutes waiting for the bill. In the end I walked to the bar and spoke to a member of staff. As you can see from the picture the restaurant was empty almost.

Went on a Saturday night around 6pm. Luckily we had a reservation as it was very busy. The location is just a stone's throw from the Arena which is great if you're going to a gig there as we were.The food was very good as it usually is at Pizza Express. However, the service was very slow. We got there at 6pm and ordered pretty much within 5 minutes, We didn't get our main course until 7.10pm! Granted we did have a starter but this was served very soon after we got there, and nevertheless we had a LONG wait for our main. It didn't appear that the kitchen could handle the volume of orders there.If you don't mind the wait the food and atmosphere is great, but don't expect a quick turnaround if you want a quick meal.
