Halfords Autocentre Blackpool

Very friendly and helpful, couldn’t provide what I wanted today but directed me to another potential supplier and explained I could get them next day if I ordered from Halfords web site, which I did but I’m having them fitted “on my drive” thanks.

Took my car in for MOT and service. Was told I needed new brakes. I told them I had their brakes for life, their response was Oh OK it doesn't need to be replaced now

Had an MOT here. It failed due to emissions apparently. The CO failed and was reading 1.96 in the first Idle test, it failed in HC and Lambda as well. The CO was 0.33 in the second with everything else passing. The legal limit for CO is 0.2, hence the fail. Clearly a big fluctuation in readings. They recommended a new catalytic converter and few other bits, costing £700+. I took it to a different garage to get a quote, they did an emissions test and it passed (CO-0.198) on the first Idle without an issue. I returned to this Halfords to ask why it failed and they said they have only done the first Idle test

Took my sons car in for a few bits and bobs that needed repair/replace after a recent service. All the work was completed on time at a reasonable price. Thanks to Dave and the team for excellent service.

Had a great experience taking my mothers car in after her A/C had not been working all summer.The team were very professional and knowledgeable about the problem with the car. All prices are upfront and they called about running a diagnostic and then confirm for them to refill the gas.Thanks to Stephen who booked in the car at the reception and also Kiel who did the work. Both are a fantastic asset to Halfords

Lots of things for lots of cars & bicycles. However...last time I went the registration plate entry screen to locate parts wasn't working. A sign with a QR code directed you to their website where you enter your vehicle registration to locate the correct parts. It didn't work. It directed me to buy wipers based on my car reg that were for an Audi. I have a Ford. A 26 mile round trip to waste my money. I've had other incidents like this at this store. Usually due to staff giving wrong information. Won't be going back any more.

Good place for service. Their advice was good and makes me to plan my repairs for future.I don’t recommend them for MOT as they could be more strict than others

I would give zero star if optional. I contacted halfords for a price as my clutch was burnt out, gave my reg and was quoted £614 so I booked it in for today 8am. This morning I was contacted as the quote was incorrect and advised the cost of the repair would be £1139.14, and advised I could take out Klarma to pay. I asked the advisor for time to think. Halfords called me back saying if I do a payment plan they would do the work ASAP. I contacted Trident I'm St Annes who has quoted me £496 for the same work. I rang Halford to explain I had a better price so we will be collecting the car and was told their price was incorrect and it would costme £814. I have taken the car to Trident. I'm so angry just before Christmas then they over charged me and calling me to get credit. Please avoid and don't fall for this trick a bunch of con artisits. Trident is cheaper than halfords original quote and I have taken zero credit out.
