Extremely poor, questionable conductThey work hand in hand with their other company DCBLEGAL passing debts between each other. I have had serious problems with them for 6 years in regards to private car parking breach of contract. Their evidence is flawed and I await a second Court hearing, the first being adjourned because they had NOT brought my file / lost file, despite I having called them and emailed to check. Very lax, incompetent company. They don't respond to emails or phone calls unless you want to provide them with praise - for which they encourage you to write a POSITVE Trustpilot review (not forgetting the REFERENCE number to add authenticity). Well here is MINE for the NEGATIVE review:-100615.8012D. Hopefully they don't attempt to remove the review, as per usually is the case. At this stage won't add anything else, other than to say that from my experience this company deserve top marks for achieving the result of causing much misery and distress to those individuals they seek to extract money from; in particular those that have none, the vulnerable, the elderly, the disabled, the young single mum. The evidence is out there for all to see - PLUS on their CRUDE, despicable TV programme that is a testament of their true character. What a delightful company! NOTE: DCBL have NOT paid anything to me OR offered any incentive for this review...well, not on this occasion anyway! Neither will I accept any offer to remove it.

Absaloutly useless as a company, been trying to call for the past 6 months and Iv been placed on hold for an hour + then cut off, I also emailed, with no answer, I have all intention of repaying with proof of a £171 debt to right choice insurance brokers for a motorcycle I had 4 years ago, so I'll be seeking legal advice for your negligence on the matter.

I have never come across such rude and disrespectful people in all my life. I owed money to a company which I did not deny. I had the money in my account taken by scammers which meant I ended up with these clowns on my doorstep. My ill elderly mother was almost pushed over and bullied while I was at work (I wrote a letter of complaint to them and the governing body about the enforcement officer) this still is not resolved yet and they are still sending me threatening letters even though I have secured a loan through my work to pay these people off. They have added almost £3k onto the original amount too which defeats the object of harassing people to pay as you just get deeper and deeper into trouble. I have offered a large amount a month also and the balance in November when I get my remortgage but they refused. I feel persecuted by these unreasonable rude people. Their parents must be so proud of what they do to people! Terrible should be closed down!

Rubbish company.No interest in helping people.Untrained, uncaring staff.Luckily I haven't had to deal with these directly but seen what they put on of my best friends through.Sure he is in a better place now, this company should be closed down along with multiple others like it.

I would not bother with this company. Useless…..Used them to try and get a debt recovered, they called a few times when the guy was at work, then informed me he had nothing of value and charged me £90 for their services!!!

These guys are NOT like they are on TV.Communication is abysmal, had to constantly chase for updates.Paid to ahead e the debtor tracked, after a month I chased and they said they couldn’t find her! Tried another tracking agency and they found her in three minutes - literally and their price was half that of DCBL.Eventually they sent a bailiff round and secured £1100 of a £2,500 debt BUT took over £500 in fees.For months after I chased to ask when they were going again only to be told the bailiff thought the debtor was too frail to chase! In perspective this debtor had done £3,000 worth of damage to my Mums flat with a hammer and smeared feaces all over the bathroom!!!Would never use again. No wonder their ratings are already so low.AVOID AT ANY COST.

For me DCBL Runcorn branch were perfect at every stage. Easy to get hold on the phone for any queries or updates and the staff were very helpful and polite. DCBL got my money back (plus interest and fees) that I nearly give up pursuing. They acted at every earliest stage possible. Faultless service.. made up.

Bunch of bullies! They pretend to be bailiffs, but they are just debt collectors (and there is a big difference!). Know your rights and the law to stop these charlatans scam you out of your hard earned cash. I did :)

As CEO of an engineering company in London, with offices in 6 countries, I used DCBL (Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd) for debt collection upon recommendation. DCBL promised to recover our £150,000 debt.Per DCBL's terms, we paid 10% of the recovery amount. They promised to continue recovery efforts for up to 120 days. Their sales pitch, which included media coverage on Netflix and ITV, convinced me. Looking back, it was part of a scheme to con me out of £15,000.DCBL promised ethical techniques including recorded visits, weekly updates, and even some intimidating practices. These promises were empty.Regrettably, DCBL couldn't even locate the debtor, despite their supposed intelligence system and strong ties with credit reference agencies. Their only action was sending emails to the debtor. They couldn't respond to a single legal letter from the debtor’s barrister.DCBL also promised to use their sister company, DCB Legal, to respond to legal letters and proceed with court matters. This was another false promise.Reading through DCBL's terms and conditions showed their false promises. Clauses stated that debt collection shouldn't exceed 120 days, but it's unclear what happens if DCBL fails within this timeframe. In our case, they gave up after four months. Their promise of automated systems and debtor location was baseless.According to clause six, clients pay a non-refundable administration fee, usually 10% of the debt. If DCBL fails, you don’t get your money back. We lost £15,000 to DCBL. Clause 11 states that DCBL doesn’t guarantee debt recovery.My advice is to avoid DCBL. They are only good at sending letters to naive people. If you’re dealing with a smart debtor with good legal counsel, DCBL has little to no chance of success. They fail to respond to strong legal letters, and their promises fall flat.This review is a warning about DCBL and DCB Legal. My advice is to steer clear of DCBL. Research and consider more reliable and effective alternatives for your debt recovery needs to avoid the hassles and financial losses that come with dealing with DCBL.

They started collecting a debt for me, but as soon as their fees were covered they stopped caring. They located the debtor fine, but then when they had recieved all the money owed to them he 'suddenly disappeared '.They make up stories about trying numerous times at numerous addresses, but they can provide no proof when asked. They continue to send you bills and threats while providing absolutely zero service. I paid for a court Writ, which they didn't even use until 2 weeks before it was due to expire, then they demand more money for another one. This company is so crooked. I'm collating all my emails letters and solicitors notes and I'm going to pursue THEM in the courts and through the ombudsman.
