We dropped by for lunch one Friday. Lots more seating available that initially appears visible from outside as the cafe goes back quite a way. Dog friendly as can be seen from pic and light background musicStaff friendly, food lovely and beautifully presented.Falafel tasked great and the spices induced a wonderful feeling of nostalgia for me, just like I remembered it in the Middle East.We will be back, and try and work through the menu. The good news appears to be whilst they started in April with 4 days a week they are now 7 days a week and plan to open in the evenings too in the future.Drinks menu photo also attached. Great to see it's Northdown brewery beers on offer to.Wonderful place

EXCELLENT brunch! We ordered the Babka French Toast which was super fluffy and delicious with the cream and blueberries, truly some of the best french toast I've ever had. We also got a slice a chocolate babka which was melt in your mouth but a bit expensive at £4.5. Finally, we got the sabih Pitta and the falafel Pitta which were both super flavoursome and packed with veggies and sauces. Would recommend all the menu items mentioned in this review! The service was also so lovely, all the staff were very welcoming. Nice interior too.

Interesting breakfasts which unlike most of the hipster venues in Margate do not all revolve around sourdough. Dog friendly.

Food offering was interesting, a little bit Middle Eastern, a little bit Mediterranean, but perhaps a bit too adventurous or 'overladen' with a multitude of ingredients and competing flavours for us -- e.g. salt beef pita smothered in sauerkraut, pickles and spicy mayo, with the condiments overpowering the flavour of the salt beef. The challa French toast had a lot of cream cheese and jam on it, so much so I didn't really taste the French toast, and at first, thought there wasn't any egg in the bread at all. The coffees, however, were very good, with nice crema. Service was friendly and efficient.

Had an excellent falafel pita here for lunch. Was tempted by the sweat treats they had on offer too, but managed to resist them. Service could be a little better, but all in all this is a great brunch place.

Highly recommend!! Staff were all really lovely and accommodating, we had the sour cherry, rose and Campari cocktails which were delicious, then we had the smoked haddock hash and the aubergine pita, both were really tasty but the hash was the highlight!

Second time visiting The Good Egg, first time I had takeout. The staff are great. Prices aren't too hefty but with everything generally being more expensive, I'm really thinking about each meal out that I have these days. It needs to be an instant 'yes I have to come back' and sadly, this wasn't. The cornbread was decent, the merguez was enjoyable but unremarkable. My boyfriend had the haddock hash. He ate it all and said it was good. But it wasn't a wow. It wasn't a 'oh my god when can we come back'. I would give it one more go, and see what their sweet things are like because the staff are genuinely lovely.
