Kangoo Jumps UK With Denisa
Extended review of a superb aerobics class held at Crowborough Community Centre on a Thursday evening. Kangoo Jumps with Denisa. For the last two years or more, I have been attending the afore mentioned exercise class, and whilst after this two year period, I still have zero coordination and just as bad timing, personal frustration aside, I never fail to enjoy it and always finish the class with smile and laugh.I first encountered the class after attending a regular yoga class, and just happened to be leaving the class as the Kangoo Jumps class also finished. I was struck by how everyone attending the class had come out smiling, laughing and also very exhausted. I have always been fitness orientated and decided that I really needed to give the class a shot. After a few weeks of daring myself into going along and just to add a bit more pressure and prevent me from backing out, I also told friends and family of my intention. As daft as this might sound, the class was way out of my comfort zone, especially being the only male attending the class at that stage.Since taking the bold step of attending that first class, I haven’t looked back and really look forward to my hour or so of full-on exercise. The class has proved to be a brilliant and very helpful training aid to my main hobby of mountain bike riding. I had long been struggling to breathe in a regular even pattern and often whilst hill climbing, I would be left out of breath. My fitness was there, but breathing wasn’t. It soon became apparent that one key element of Kangoo Jumps is breathing in a regular and controlled manner, or you end up unnecessarily tiring yourself and having to stop. Slowly I learnt the required breathing pattern and with some relief the transformation to my riding has been very noticeable as I now no longer get out of breath. It might also sound daft, but the class has to a certain extent helped with balance and coordination as well. The class whilst being so much fun, especially with the loud music, offers a superb aerobic workout and crucially for me, is low impact as I have a reoccurring knee complaint. Some of the smaller, sharper movements and jumps still cause discomfort but as the class is so informal and relaxed, I don’t have too much concern about adapting my jumps to suit. Like all exercise, it has to completed on a regular basis but being so much fun, this is never a chore and is in fact quite addictive. I think that because the class has so many friendly and welcoming people attending it, this has aided that aspect greatly. One final interesting observation about the boots is that the claimed reduction in impact is 80% less than when jumping without wearing the boots. It is quite a bold claim to make, but I don’t disbelieve it, as when on occasions I have tried to jump straight after the class without wearing the boots, it feels as though you can’t, and that gravity is preventing you, which is a very odd feeling. For anyone looking for a fun, low impact and very beneficial workout, I can only suggest giving it a go.
