Having visited here previously and not returned since after lockdown, myself and my partner decided to attend today which is a decision we regret.Having ordered our food coupled with drinks we sat down to enjoy our time there.However, that was short lived as firstly, my wine was served in a clearly dirty glass. Initially we thought, ok, small issue, as the staff were apologetic and happy to replace it.I mean, given the current pandemic, one would expect clean glasses to be a proprity in any hospitality venue but we put it down to a simple mistake and continued.Our food then arrived some 15 minutes later and my surf and turf was edible but my partners double classic cheese burger with an extra buttermilk chicken fillet and extra cheese came out but the chicken fillet was freezing cold on the inside.Unfortunately, my partner discovered this having taken a bite of the burger!We couldn't believe it. Serving partially cooked chicken is not only disgusting but it is dangerous and my partner could have got food poisoning.When we complained to the waitress, she seemed polite and apologised and said a new one would be out in a few minutes leaving the partially eaten burger with us.Some 10-15 minutes later, I'd by now finished by meal and you couldn't make this up, but a burnt chicken fillet appeared in a bowl with what looked like melted burnt cheese on top! My immediate response to what was placed on the table was, are you joking?!" and in response the waitress said

Visited for a quick drink & a bite to eat, bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Management were pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. Our food came & was absolutely outstanding for pub grub, would definitely return & recommend!

First timer here and I definitely will be going again, sizzling steak with mushrooms, onion rings etc chips and creamy peppercorn sauce. Walking into the pub I felt a little uneasy but by the time we reached the bar (3-4 steps) we were made to feel welcome by the man at the bar. Bar staff were courteous and couldn't do enough for us.

Came here for food and the service was good and quick. Food was really nice too. Sue served me and was really friendly and helped with questions I had. Would definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere in here this evening with good TV screens and everyone watching England ladies winning the Euro final.I had a veggie Lasagne with side salad followed by a banoffee desert plus an Americano. Very reasonable priced.Bar staff extremely friendly.The only thing stopping an extra star was I was hoping to have the veggie Halloumi but it wasn't available.Good carpark at front or even on the road if necessary.

Walked in and didn’t feel like a place you eat in, felt like an old British man pub. Place didnt feel friendly or look in best shape. Walked and was told if you’re here for food then no point as cook gone home sick. As we waited outside to decide where to go for food we was approached by someone who came out from the pub asking if we’re interested in knock off gear.
