These guys saved me at very short notice and squeezed in my car today. No fuss, polite and honest. Plus reminded me of a manufacture recall which helps keeps me safe on the road!

Max has been amazing for me and my car this year. A great, quick MOT, then identified an issue with my back mirror. He gave me the link to find the part (now discontinued, so he found one in Germany for me!) then gave me a great price on installation. Feel lucky to have such an honest mechanic in the neighbourhood. Highly recommended!

Really excellent experience. Booked in randomly because our brake pads became stuck. Found Max's garage online. Very honest, professional, quick to help. Called when he said he would. Fixed the problem, took photos and explained what had happened. Very reasonable price. Will be bringing the car here for MOT and service from now on!

Car unexpectedly reported low coolant and started to steam up on bonnet and wind screen.Only garage open within a mile and agreed to see us in short order. Really helpful in sorting the parts required and kept me updated on progress of repairs.

As someone who recently moved to the area, I was on the lookout for a new mechanic, and I'm so glad I came across Max's Garage in Wood Green. Initially, I was skeptical about trying a new mechanic, but from the moment I walked through their doors, I knew I was in good hands.The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient. They took the time to explain everything that needed doing to my car, and I appreciated their honesty and transparency throughout the process.When they advised me to change my brake discs and pads during my car's full service, they provided me with a good total price for the job, which I thought was very reasonable. I left my car with them in the morning, and to my surprise, I received a call later that afternoon informing me that the work was completed.When I returned to collect my car, I was thrilled with the work they had done. The team had gone above and beyond my expectations to ensure that my car was running smoothly and safely.Overall, I would highly recommend Max's Garage to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy car repair services. DODGY GARAGE & UNEXPERIENCED MECHANICS-AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!I had my mercedes A-Class MOT here in June, the MOT tester who is also the owner inputted the reset driving distance as the mileage (27,111) instead of the total driving mileage (39,000-40,000). Partly my fault that i did not check my MOT certificate on completion however this is entirely due to the fact i trusted this garage to be professional and carry out accurate work. I only realised this 4 months after when selling the car as the buyer pointed out that it does not match the mileage on the service!! Luckily i had a service done at Mercedes specialist in July and therefore the correct mileage was on that service sheet. I contacted max garage and explained the situation only to be on the recieving end of an aggressive response and was told “why was the screen showing the reset mileage when turning on the engine”. This clearly shows that he is not careful when carrying out his MOT, does not re-check, rushes his job and is uneducated on new vehicles. My A-class is 2019 and therefore has the updated electronic dashboard feature which he clearly is not aware on how to use it, all he had to do to find the mileage was scroll to the next screen. The screen with the reset mileage clearly says FROM RESET, perhaps this garage is only familiar with older, less adapted cars! I was very nice to him, it was his mistake and i just wanted a note to reassure the buyer the mileage is genuine, luckily i have the mileage evidence a month after by a service done by a mercedes specialist showing 40,600 miles. June MOT by max shows mileage of 27,111, July service by mercedes shows 40,600.. which garage seems like they’ve done their job properly, you can tell and probably VOSA can tell too. Bottom line is he was shouting on the phone and refused to do anything to correct the mistake he had made in the first place. It is now an extremely long process for me to contact DVLA regarding this however since i’ll already be doing that, i will ensure i will report him to VOSA as this man is not qualified enough to MOT cars if he cannot understand them and deserves to have his licence revoked. It is an easy mistake to make but its the failure of this garage to acknowledge and fix the mistakes, so please be aware that if this garage messes anything up with your car, they will not take ownership and they will not fix or resolve it. Best to stay away and steer clear for your own sakes, there are many other local garages around the corner, please google them and save yourself the potential hassle!

Just had my MOT with Max and can't thank him enough! Booked in with short notice, managed to fit me in even though I was a little late and turned it round incredibly quickly. Genuinely the best service I've had from a garage!
