Good, local pub with new owners. Great pair to continue the legacy while putting their own spin on things. I'm sure they'll be very successful with this place for many years to come.Pub has a great community attached with a warm welcom to new faces. They always have something going on, usually accompanied by complimentary, great tasting grub - from a buffet spread to hearty stovies.With the brand new draft poring system now in place, the lager is cool & refreshing. Great pint of Guinness available on draft, with a range of ciders & beer on tap too.

What you'd expect from a boozer that's been around for years..in need of a lick of paint and maybe some re-decor but folk behind bar seem very friendly and offers a variety of pub drinks ales/spirits!

Barmaid on a Saturday night with dark hair needs to learn to smile and maybe pretend she’s happy to work there ! Rest off staff any other time been in really friendly

Stayed hotel close by, Rab the landlord welcomed us two English skinheads , loved the bar,the people and the banter, the landlord even gave us a bottle of whisky from the Scottish houses of parliament free.been back a few times and messy on all occasions 11/10 marks

Walked in a stranger and it was like I'd come home. Friendly punters (not many in but I was acknowledged by some of those that were) and felt immediately in a comfortable place. Barmaid is very pleasant (she's also the owner). I found my new local"!"
