ABC Cash 4 Clothes

Tried to go for the past two weeks. Gone on two different days and times and the shop has been closed or I've been told to leave as they are closing. Gone between the hours of 11 and 3. No note saying its closed and no information on the website saying it's closed.

Simple enough really. Bring your unwanted/unused clothes in a bag, make sure they're clean, they weigh them and pay you. 50p per KG.No underwear or socks. They did accept some of my old caps.

ABC cash 4 cloths are very handy to have also the two girls that are normally there are very very friendly, helpful kind and generous if I could of give them more more stars I would certainly do so I recommend them to ANYONE who needs a extra bit of cash for your clothes top notch service

Horrible experience with this company. I have no idea where the clothes are going or if they are a real charity. I had two people come and collect some bags of clothes, they went through each bag throwing clothes on the floor, not bothering to hand them over to me! The people who come and collect are very very rude! Also, they dont add up the weight of the bags correctly and seem very dodgey with how they 'account' for things. Not a genuine charity! Do not use them, much better off going to a charity shop!

Phoned ahead to check they were open and a polite young lady answered and talked me through the process when I asked how it worked. She met me at the entrance with a young man (who took all my bags out of my boot for me) and they weighed my bags. It all came to £14.77 and they even gave me £15. Very sweet! Would use again!

This was the worst experience of collecting clothes in Southampton I've had with any company by far. Collector/driver was extremely unprofessional and rude. Ignored any questions I asked and threw out neatly folded clothes onto the ground near the bins, calling it 'trash'. This man went on to take pictures of 1 or 2 items to conclude an entire suitcase of clothes was unacceptable and proceeded to pull them out of my hands when I picked them up. He then drove off not after insulting me and refusing to clean up any of the clothes he threw out on the ground outside. Service was even worse, refusing to address the issue and claimed nothing could be done about it. Terrible service.

Easy to use. Quick and simple

Offered 40p/kilo which is better than nowt. Place a bit tricky to find for sure. It is on the corner of Empress rd and Empress rd leading to Dukes rd. Small doorway on left. Staff seemed ok to me but they will look through bags so no trying to sneak bad quality items in.

I've used this place a few times now. It's great for stuff you want out of the house. They're really strict on stains or marks on clothes so make sure everythings clean. They don't take socks but do take bags (including suitcases) and accessories like belts and ties.

Hand if you would like a bit of instant cash. The downside is that it is £4 for 10 kilos and all the clothes must be in a reusable condition, otherwise they won't take them. 10 kilos is a lot of textiles, a large bin bag crammed full is 10 kilos.
