The Ship Inn
Stayed for two nights, two adults, two children.The family room was very clean and a fantastic size. We didn't feel like we were on top of one another.The owner was very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him.The breakfast was very tasty and filling. My son loved the pancakes.We didn't eat an evening meal, however the restaurant was very busy both nights and we weren't disturbed by any noise.Would use this place again if I am ever in the area.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was faultless. The food was amazing and good choice of real ales. Some of the best food I’ve eaten in a long time and the children loved it too. Amazing beer garden and professional and friendly staff. We’ll be back!

This is a wonderful place to eat. There is a two course fixed price menu for just £15 plus the standard menu. We also tried the orange wine which was unusual and enjoyable. Great service and even better food.

Lovely country pub with friendly staff and clientele. Sizable garden out back. Menu is a perfect mix of pub classics and more adventurous gastro fare.

Excellent lunch....good honest pub food. I had Liver and Bacon, my friend the steak, we both had a good meal, in a nice pub with friendly staff

Popped in for an afternoon drink and now booked in the restaurant for this evenings festive banquet. Happy days.Great dining, wine selection and service. Totally recommend

We live in Gillingham, Dorset and our selection of places to eat is minimal, we drive to the Ship, happily sat in the garden area, we hadn't booked. Menu and service great. Bench seats a bit hard on my old lady's bottom, but a lovely evening.

Perfect place to stop to eat on the long drive to Cornwall. Love the menu, love the welcome. We’ve stopped here three times in the last five months.

Nice place. Fairly small menu but a range of cuisines and food proved to be pretty good. Service was polite and friendly.Mains were lovely, although dessert proved to be a bit more style over substance in my opinion
