I met Chris on a single-handed casting day on the Welsh Dee in 2019. There were over 20 anglers present and Chris firstly demonstrated casting techniques and then supervised our efforts. Later that year I had a one-to-one guided day with Chris. On both occasions, I found Chris to be knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic, all qualities which he passed on to me. Chris has been an excellent teacher and mentor over the last couple of years as I’ve prepared to become a GAIA double handed casting instructor.He’s helped me iron out bad habits and cast confidently off both shoulders.
