Llantrisant Recycling Centre

Great experience each time we visit the site. Today I was told @ 5.20pm they were shutting in ten minutes. The website states 7.30pm on a Sunday so maybe the times need changing on their website

Bit of a delay whilst they shuffled bins around, no worries as its a safety issue. Well laid out and easy to get in and out and deposit your junk. Nice helpful bunch in there.

We have used this recycling centre many times over the past few years. It accepts most items of household waste and the staff there are always very friendly and happy to direct you to the right bin if you're not sure.There used to be a shop onsite called 'The Shed' where you could donate unwanted items which still had some use left in them. These items were then available to buy in the shop. The shop has since outgrown the premises and moved into a dedicated unit on the nearby Llantrisant Business Park.You sometimes have to queue outside when they are emptying the containers as they temporarily shut the site to the public for safety reasons. This can sometimes take half hour, depending on how many containers they need to empty.

A lot easier to use than first thought. Right opposite the Royal Mint. A left turn on tge dual carriage way opposite the mint and over a small bridge. Not clearly signposted though. It is open now even through lockdown restrictions.

Always helpful and polite. We'll organised place and when busy a controlled in and out process to avoid to many people.Yeah good place. Sadly their shop they call the shed is closed currently so some stuff now in skip instead of there, but that's just circumstances beyond all our control.

Called to this centre at 17.28, turned away as staff stated it closes at 17.30. Web site states open until 19.30. Poor service due to misinformation.

Used many times while doing a house clearance and renovation in Talbot Green and it was always brilliant!. Now living in the South East and the sites in Sussex/Surrey are absolutely terrible by comparison. The Llantrisant Centre is easy to get to, well laid out and there's plenty of room. Staff are great - helpful and friendly. The shop and cafe are a real bonus. God how I miss that place!

One of my favourite places to visit. Like alladins cave. Staff are absolutely fantastic. Treherbert shed is another favourite with exceptional staff. Only downside to Llantrisant is sometimes the long wait to actually enter the recycling plant due to lorry loads entering and leaving. Some waits can be up to 30 minutes. Definately worth waiting though you never know what you will find.
