The outdoor seating and indoor spaces are really nice here. We had solid drinks and pretty good burgers! I’d definitely be back to try some of the fancier entrees

Very good dining. Cod a bit overpriced and overcook for what you get.Apart from that it was good dining experience.

This is the best restaurant in the area!!The restaurant itself is very cosy and they have a nice terrace outside, which is the perfect location if the weather is nice. The food is good, and they have a good selection of wines. But the best about The Plough is the service. They make you feel welcome from the second you walk in, and they are all very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Pasquale, Gabby, Mike and Callum!!

Attention to detail on the pub classics. There was perfectly seasoned fries, a nicely cut little gem lettuce leaf in the burger with a large tomato slice, fresh brioche, a homemade style relish along with hand pressed burger patty’s with a plant based alternative on offer. The service was wonderful and ambient, not to pushy or theatrical - it all made way for a lovely evening. For the more finer style dish - the food was presented nicely, and fresh and all cooked. (We had the Salmon) Flavour profiles were a little too British for us (being just cooked as it is, celebrating the ingredient but very much the dish having no additional flavouring) with maybe a garlic and a butter sauce being a nice addition to compliment and make the seafood capture more flavour.Wonderful location with free parking and a good selection of wine, ports, spirits and gins.

Fantastic food and service. We visited on a Friday lunchtime and it was busy but the service was still fantastic. We had a wonderful waiter called Callum who made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate:Scallops with pea pureeCamembert with red onion and gluten free breadCote du boeuf with chips and peppercorn sauce. This was just for the two of us but could have easily served 4!The food was delicious, I especially enjoyed the peppercorn sauce.

We are regulars at the Plough so would not normally think to write a review. However dinner at the Plough last night was superb and deserves a mention. We had the fillet steak which was so tasty and tender and cooked just how we like it. The courgette side was truly delicious. Excellent wines by the glass and a warm and hospitable welcome from Pasky and Max. Well done team. X

Sunday lunch at the Plough of course Roast Beef. It was very busy but the staff worked hard and we were well looked after. The house red wine was nice and drinkable. Unfortunately the food was only ok. The food was to the cool side edible but not as enjoyable as it should have been. The Yorkshire was definitely overcooked with vegetables on short side. Roast potatoes were good as was the overall flavour of the meal.As said it was very busy and inside where we were was high noise level. Probably will not return.

Dinner with the family and kids. Mike and his staff were fantastic in looking after us as soon as we were seated. Patient and attentive to our requests even with kids being kids. Service was quick, efficient, accommodating with a good attitude. Food very good. There's a large terraced area at the rear and a decent sized adventure park for kids all the way down the back. Definitely worth a visit.

We had an evening meal without a prior booking and were really fortunate to get a table. Our waitress was attentive but not 100% familiar with the menu and specials. Our wine was excellent and not too expensive. The food was very good, far exceeding standard pub fare and our expectations. The noise levels were high which made general conversation at the table a strain. I guess this shows its a buzzing place.I'd be very happy to visit again.

Fantastic dinning experience. We were staying in hotel close by and decided to venture to this local gastro pub for a drink. We were so impressed, we decided to book for Sunday lunch the next day. Luckily we managed to get booked in.It did not disappoint! We both went for the pork roast. Generous portion, great quality and outstanding service. Also recommend the cauliflower cheese. We'll be coming back when we're in the area. Thanks!
