Mansfield Medical Centre
Changed surgeries a little over a year ago as my needs were not being met with my previous one, however with mansfield any enquiry I have had or appointment I required has been fulfilled. Furthermore, the new patch system seems to work very well, within 40 minutes my requests and enquiries have been answered on two occasions.

Since I was asked to provide details, here they are.I was removed from the practice due to change of address. My British partner which lives under the same address as me wasn't. while inquiring about their reasoning, the receptionist had shared his private information over the phone without asking me the security questions, lets just say he was less than thrilled about his information being give to people over the phone. I was re assured that my partner will also shortly be asked to change his practice, its been seven months, and he still hasn't received his letter. Not thrilled about being kicked out but absolutely shocked with the breach of data protection.

I have been calling for over a week every day to try to get an appointment without success. Even when I called today 8:02, by the time they replied they had no female doctors. This happened in the past. Almost every time when I need them I cannot get an appointment with them. Also, I was crying on the phone feeling helpless because my issue is already delicate, and received no empathy from the reception staff!

I am a patient at Mansfield Medical practice and due to ailments i called the doctors. I received a call-back from the Doctor who perscribed me antibiotics but due to being in London that day with work was unable to collect. He arranged for the perscription to be collected from a pharmacy near my london location so i could start them straight away. WOW! Thank you so much, your assistance helped me start my course of antibiotics sooner rather than wait until i was back home and i am super appreciative of your efforts to help.

Used to be a great surgery but has recently gone extremely down hill. No follow up to appointments (if you can get one!). Reception staff are obstructive and unhelpful even if faced with a situation that requires a Dr on the same day. On several occasions I had been told “you’re on the list” for a call back from the Dr but never received these. On one occasion I called to ask for my call back, as previously promised and was simply told “we forgot”. Whilst I appreciate the immense pressure on the National Health Service, this practice simply uses it as an excuse to provide an abysmal service to the local community. Please do not respond as I see you have decided to publicly rip a few strips off a below customer for leaving a review.

For 20 years this Practice has been keeping my family safe but unfortunately since Dr Khara and Dr Smith have left this practice borders on unethical.They kicked my daughter out of the surgery as they suddenly realised she had moved. The reason was that they are over worked but they still accept new patients and my daughter is still in the catchment area. Even thought she suffers with he mental health this practice did nothing to ease the transition.They have not followed up with my Diabetes checks and at one point actually forgot I had Diabetes as a test came back in range and they did not contact me until I contacted them.Prescriptions now take 3 or 4 days for sign off. I just called about pain meds needed on Friday, to be told they should be signed off Monday night.....You call at 8am and are normally number 25 in the queue.I get these are challenging times and there are some lovely GPs there but as a Practice this place is now the pits.In response to Dr Cowens response below.I called your reception on Monday afternoon to be told my prescription should be authorised" at the end of the day meaning my pharmacy would be closed leaving me in considerable pain for yet another day. But if authorising prescriptions of people in pain in the last chance ticks boxes. I have made the right decision to move GPs.I have since moved Doctors and my first experience had been 100% better and given me faith back in the GP services.You are correct you did address my previous concerns by telling me I was wrong and that your rude staff were not rude. I then responded with more evidence including you openly taking on more patients from outside the area and you ignored my mail with no response.I have posted this review not with the intention to slander but to warn anyone considering joining your practice to do so knowing the facts.Again this year a 3 month follow up blood test for my diabetes has not occurred.It's obvious the whether online or via email you do not take any responsibility for the level of care I was provided and instead play on how hard your staff are pushed.I have said I respect the job these staff do but my experience is that you have let myself and my daughter down and I would have more respect if you responded with actual facts instead of excuses.For your records my 8 weeks of knee pain with my new GP is being investigated instead of being told to do some stretches for 6 further weeks.Steven Dunne"

Met with Dr Cowan who was amazing at listening and explaining any questions I had at my appointment. It’s very refreshing to leave the doctors feeling at peace and knowing that the professionals really care about how problems are impacting you.

The doctors are fine when you can get in to see them.the reception staff look at you like you have disturbed them the new young one is very pleasant though.have asked 3 times for my meds to be moved so i can pick them up from a different chemist and it still hasnt happened"

Really disappointed, I called up for an appointment, the receptionist said I can’t prebook these types of appointments (which I have done before multiple times ), it’s been 6 weeks I’ve been trying to get an appointment for the same medical reason. I’ve been to the walk-in centre multiple times and they’ve said see your GP. Most likely I’ll be changing my GP and practise because I can’t even get an appointment
