Initially I got a ticket in December last year, I went online to make the payment on my mobile phone. When I clicked submit the page refreshed and I only knew the payment had been taken twice due to receiving 2 receipt emails showing different transaction numbers a minute apart. I called to advise of this and was told by a member of your staff that this doesn’t happen and the system will automatically pick it up and the money will go straight back into my bank. I never received the refund. Weeks later I called and spoke to a really helpful man who advised me I had been misinformed and told me the process I needed to take. I followed this process and still heard nothing. I called again to be advised there was a backlog and if I didn’t receive an email regarding the situation by Friday 12th May to call again.I then called again as had still heard nothing. I was then advised it would be processed that day. I received an email receipt for the refund on 15th May and still haven’t had my refund. I called AGAIN today and advised I hadn’t received the refund in my bank but had remembered I lost my card and was issued a new one so this may have been the issue. I spoke with Amanda who advised me that is true and if the card has been cancelled the money wouldn’t go back in. I then got told they would send a cheque out to me. The customer service has been terrible apart from a guy called Lewis who helped massively. The only saving grace is Lewis and by the other review it seems im not the only one with that opinion. The staff with terrible customer service skills should have some training with Lewis, they then may be able to do there job appropriately and consistently. Holly Ryder.

I’m severely dyslexic I’ve never spent an hour and a half on the phone to try and get a bus lane ticket sorted that never got delivered to my house. They don’t want to help. They don’t want to help people with disabilities. They just generally put you on hold and don’t bother answering. I can’t believe that the council as big as Manchester take such an attitude towards people with learning difficulties. Sorry if the spelling of this isn’t right, but I am dyslexic and I’m using Siri least I’m trying to do something which is more than sad for Manchester Council

Although my initial dealings with the council regarding my parking ticket weren't great, I was helped by a man named Lewis who was extremely efficient and helped me with all my queiries. If all staff there were like him, there would be minimal hassle and disputes would be defused much more efficiently.

I got a ticket for parking in a bay that I’ve seen numerous cars park in and not get a ticket.Came back to my car and found a ticket. I spoke to a warden the next day who said I got a ticket because the bay I parked in wasn’t official and that the council were aware of it for a year and haven’t got round to removing it.I spoke to the department who confirmed it’s not a official bay and apparently I should’ve known. The bay itself had the white broken lines around it like every other bay so how could I know any different.They even said that someone had sprayed the white lines there to make it look like a bay which meant they were also aware of it.After numerous emails back and forth, I had to pay the fine thinking I could still appeal before the deadline. However, they said because I’d paid the fine it meant I accepted liability.A week later I drove past the exact same spot and the council had done roadworks to it and covered the “fake” bay up.
