Marple Dry Cleaning and Laundry

AVOID AVOID AVOID! I took my Burberry coat which has a removable lining in the body and in the hood, and a belt, so all in all the coat comes in 4 pieces. My mum collected this for me, and didn't check but when I came to use the coat, the 2 lining pieces are missing. The shop deny any knowledge of the lining. This is an expensive coat which is now incomplete.

Web site said it did self service but when I called in I was told it was just the wash you could do yourself it was a service wash and dry. The cost was expensive but I needed to do it. Clothes were dry and nicely folded though.

Ask for price quote in writing before leaving items for alteration. Price doubled between drop off and collection. Work carried out was good though

Took daughter’s black puffa jacket coat for dry cleaning (last Wednesday) for collection Saturday. Explained not “dirty” just had couple of juice marks (probably spongeable but didn’t want to risk it) response was “OK”. Given collection ticket (didn’t pay as signage said cash only - didn’t have cash) - payment on collection was fine, so left. No more conversation or form filling etc. Collected Saturday (paid cash) but stupidly didn’t check garment - just paid and left. Got home and found zip and garment logos melted or gone. Tried ringing but no answer. Tried for 2 days calling but no answer. Husband took coat back to shop today to explain and was told apparently I had been advised that the plastic parts could melt or be disfigured and I had agreed. Not true. Wouldn’t have risked it for a small juice mark. £300 Trapstar coat!!!! BEWARE! I absolutely wouldn’t have had this item dry cleaned if I had been made aware it could ruin it - would have saved the cleaning cost and let my daughter wear it until it was worn out!!!! Anyone using this service needs to ask (also get evidence of this) that their item could possibly be subject to damage beyond repair and there is no come-back.

Arriving by narrowboat on the Macclesfield canal, finding a good service wash is a critical factor in life on a boat. Service was simply perfect. Delightfully polite owner washed, dried and folded better than we would do ourselves! Et, il parle Francais si vous voulez

Brought curtains to be dry cleaned, on picking up cream colour now a delicate shade of pink. Red colour has has run, they appear to have been washed instead of dry cleaned despite instructions saying otherwise which was communicated to staff when dropping off. Curtains were creased when returned - not even pressed. Refused to refund or part refund and did not resolve issue in professional manner. Now looking for new curtains and will not use this place again.

Top service and great prices had two massive bags of washing and they were all washed dryer and folded neatly for £19. Highly recommend. Very friendly and helpful gentleman who runs the place.

It’s unusual to find such careful and courteous service these days. Suit alterations done to weight loss required three visits and fittings in total but accomplished perfectly and for modest cost which avoided the cost of a new suit. Highly recommended.

We were travelling on our narrowboat and when we walked into Marple noticed the launderette so took two loads to have service washes. A warm and very friendly welcome. When we returned at the suggested time everything was washed, dried and very neatly folded. What an excellent service thank you so much.
