Room was brilliant staff are friendly and made me feel very welcome the food was amazing and dogs are welcome which is brilliant the grounds of the put are Beautiful

The Pelican Inn - really beautiful little place with a really nice menu. The owners are new and really welcoming - they have dog treats on the bar, a thirst aid station for water refills and sweets for the children..we phoned ahead and booked a table for dinner (Sunday dinner - really nice!) And stayed to watch the Lionesses bring it home which was magic! Nice car park for an overnight stay in a camper but always call ahead to check they have availability and book a table in to eat and lovely walks locally. Food great, welcome great, location great. Cant ask for more really.If you are staying in a motorhome - earplugs! The pub is wonderfully quiet but there are cars and lorries on the main road all night. The rest of the family slept well but I am a v light sleeper.

We stayed overnight at this lovely little pub. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Ate in the bar honestly priced food that is both hot and tasty thank you guys

Staff are brilliant really freindly and welcoming bar and dinning area is amazing , food was great . Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, for what you pay they are great . The day before we arrived they had a flash flood and alot of the place was flooded staff had worked so hard and unless they told us we would have never known . For me it goes to show how hard they work here . Will definatly stay here again . Brought 2 dogs with us they enjoyed the big garden and was made welcome in the bar area .

Really friendly staff. The food was straight forward, but I really enjoyed my meal. Would happily come here again. The pub is an inn, so it is possible to lodge here.

Lovely pub and staff. We wanted to have something to eat but were told the kitchen was shut and the pub was closing in 20 min, however it was only lunchtime. A bit disappointing.

Waited an hour for food, then got a steak and ale pie that was still frozen in the centre! Asked for no tomato on the steak and got a big red tomato plonked on top of the steak and no mushrooms, which were part of the menu! Huge apologies and got told Sorry its our first day open!" At that rate it will be your last too! Pity

Friendly place, excellent menu and toasty warm when we visited on a cold day to see s roaring woodburner....Fabulous lunch deal on offer. Definitely be back soon!
