Delivered broken equipment to me, took a week to fix it and on Friday morning 8th Sept member of staff hung up on me, clearly uninterested to do his job

Really unreliable, proceed with caution. We've got an account and have used then a number of times, and a couple of times the order hasn't been there even though we booked it in advance. From our experience they are really unorganised, on the last occasion we booked a big diesel compressor almost a week in advance, we even called prior to make sure the machine was definitely going to be there for us to collect, and when we turned up on the day of the collection, the gentleman who served us said he doesn't know anything about it, and its not there, we need to call head office, its not his problem apparently. We called head office they said they will find out what's going on and call us back. They never did. Baring in mind this has messed up our plans for the job we had on, and had to cancel the work, which made us look bad to the client. The following working day we called up to follow up, and the lady on the phone said that we had collected it on her system, we explained that we had not and she said we must have its on the system that you collected it. I was quite frustrated and explained what happened, she eventually came to reason with me and said sorry would you like me to rebook it, you can imagine we did not. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, especially one star, but the reason for this review was that fact that their credit control team have now still sent an invoice chasing up for payment even though the lady on the phone told us sorry she will resolve it. Its a complete joke, if you are a reputable business, your running the risk of these guys making you look bad, you cant rely on them, and the system they have is a complete mess. Also the last guy we dealt with at this branch was unhelpful and frankly just rude. We wont be ordering with them again.

We hired a plate compactor, delivery was fine, everything worked. But when they told us they were coming to collect it no one showed. We waited In all day for it to be collected but no body came, then when we called the next day they said we weren't there (not true). So we rebooked collecting, same thing happened, waited in all day, called numerous times and no one showed. booked and third time, and again same thing happened. They have wasted so much of our time and we still don't know when it will be collected. I'm really quite angry, plus it has been logged down that we weren't there which obviously isn't true as we have been waiting around for days for it to be collected. I will never used HSS again and would discourage any one else from using them too. It feels like some kind of mega scam to just get more money from us. We have three young children and waiting in for days on end, while calling many times has been incredibly stressful. PLEASE COME AND GET YOUR EQUIPMENT NOW HSS THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!

Appalling experience through-out.Hired the floor sander combo pack Thursday-Monday; delivery fine but on Friday morning found out the edger was faulty, so contacted the call centre immediately.Was told it would be passed onto the technical team as a priority given it was mid-booking. Heard nothing and had to sort alternative solution at own further cost.Called again first thing Monday morning to explain issue at that it was now due for collection this morning - Was told again I would be contacted. Midday Monday and equipment still not collected I called again to chase collection and was told it would be mid-afternoon. After waiting in all morning I was warned to not being around for afternoon collection would result in fine despite it being confirmed on booking call, and the call Monday morning that it was a morning collection.Heard nothing further, so called again and again at 3 day intervals since; communication ranging from I've raised this with my manager, the team member handling this is on another call and will call you straight back, a full refund has been processed, the refund takes 3 days, the refund takes 3-5 working days. Never once receiving a call back, let alone from that elusive technical team in the first place about the faulty equipment. The only time I received a call back was from the team in Northern Ireland who I had been put through to one time to only explain that they couldn't find my order reference.Time of writing its now 24 days since equipment returned with un-used sanding sheets/dust bags. The refund for these sheets/bags still hasn't been returned.Disgusting service from start to, well... time of writing. Staggered they can withhold money for this long because you know late fees and fines would be mounting if positions reversed.

Your staff clearly needs to get retrained into customer service, the service is incredibly sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. And im not exaggerating when I mention this. I have been waiting to collect an item for TWO hours. This is unacceptable behaviour for such a large scale organisation. Please I beg you, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PARTICULAR BRANCH!!!!

Worst company I have ever dealt with. First floor scrubber I hired was broken. It took them days to give me a working floor scrubber. Then they charged me for the extra days I had the broken floor scrubber. After calling them 3 times for a refund on the extra charge and my deposit back. They always said no problem, we will give you money back. But 3 months later they never have, they are thieves plan and simple

All I hired was a hand drill... 2 days it took to return due to stores, old Kent road hss is a joke, very poor..advertising there open but they were closed over 2 days.. £50 was the deposit which came as a surprise because you will be notified of this after you purchase your hired item and very slow, never again. I can guarantee if the hired item was returned late or damaged we all now the pitch that would follow. Run a mile people don't waste your time or money.

Really easy to use. Parked right up by the door. Friendly serviceman,easy and quick process after securing my order online. They do good black Friday savings so worth a look if you'd planned on doing any DIY.

Appalling customer service. Got the floor sander pack with all sanding paper etc, turned out it was faulty and had to get in touch with the team. Took them forever to come to a conclusion about breaking the contract due to their part - but fine. Sander was only hired for one day, so why did it take a whole 5 days for them to pick it up?Worst part is, a driver came out to pick up the set and stood outside our flat and didn’t press the buzzer to collect?! So he just assumed I would have had super brain intelligence to assume he was waiting outside. He then took photos of himself outside the door (apparently), to prove he had been - but apparently didn’t have the brain comprehension to press a buzzer. I then got in contact with the online customer service which was appalling - the person had an absolutley awful attitude - no apologies, nothing - just seemed very annoyed at me for not magically realising someone was at our front door (we live in a group of flats too). I then asked customer service to get it sorted in which he told me to sort it myself, and to call transport myself. Is this not your job?! I then received an incorrect text saying that the driver was coming to pick it up, just to be told it was an ‘error’. Seriously, sort it out.Anyway, I then had to get a professional team in to get my floor sanded due to this machine being faulty. They said that these machines are so awful / outdated that even he would struggle to use it.Oh and on top of that, i’m still waiting for my refund and it’s been two weeks. I will be submitting a chargeback with my credit card company - what an absolute sham of a business. I would never use this company for anything again, nor would I recommend this company to anyone.
