Tomahawk Steakhouse Saltburn

Excellent service from entry, staff aware of son and wariness dogs and reassured him that no dogs be in our area. Excellent view from table and staff member very thorough in explaining best options due to various menus as breakfast service was due to end into lunch menu and offered refreshments following prompt friendly seating.Food was fantastic, Value for money in the early bird offer. I think you could easily do 3 courses. Great to entertain kids with the view too,Will definitely visit again for me meal when over this way again

We booked into the steakhouse last month and loved it . Even though it was dark outside you could still see the sea by the pier which was lovely . The food was so good . We weren't sure what the chimihuri sauce was and they brought some out so we could try it before we ordered . I have an allergy and they were so accommodating and didn't make me feel embarrassed about ordering or like I was being picky . The staff were so friendly and checked up on how the food was and made sure we always had drinks .Tomahawk is a bit pricey but its definitely worth it for the service and food .

Ordered the share board with mac and cheese 2x beef dripping chips and onion rings. First time going here definitely go again. Loved the food and the staff were up beat even though it was coming to the end of their shift 11ish in the evening. Pricing is pretty good really as the quality of food was great also perfect location for a meal with a view!!

4/5* overall, lovely place to eat!Set in a great location next to Saltburn Pier with great views of the sea and cliffs.We ate here for a family Christmas meal. The Christmas menu was varied and had veggie options too.Food.Salmon & prawn rouladè , Starter.Very tasty starter well presented and a good portion size, not too much but not too little.Chicken parmo with chips & salad - Main.The chips were VERY nice it's just a shame they came in a small basket(as seems the practice by most places nowadays). A few more would've made the meal much better. Salad was a bit better than most places with walnuts, cheese and dressing.The parmo itself, if you'd have shown me a picture of it before I'd ordered, I probably wouldn't have got one. Visually it didn't look great however the flavour made up for it. Everything was a little thin compared to your average Teesside parmo(not comparing to takeaways, just restaraunts). If the chicken and bech were thicker and there was a little more cheese it'd have awesome potential.However the TASTE was lovely and the fact it was a little thinner than I'd have liked probably suited the fact we had 3 courses and drinks.White chocolate Baileys Cheesecake - Dessert.Can't fault this at all, very generous serving size with a scoop of raspberry sorbet, a strawberry and a raspberry drizzle. The taste of Baileys was there but not overwhelming. Great way to finish off the meal!Nut Roast - Vegetarian Option.My girlfriend is a veggie and ordered the soup starter and nut roast main. The starter was a tasty mix of root veg with a decent serving of dipping bread. The main however, we weren't aware it had mushrooms in and we had no mushrooms on her order notes. The manager came over to notify us that it contained mushrooms in case it was an allergy. It isn't(just a string dislike) and we were told it was basically mixed in so she went ahead with the order. We only found 1 chunk of mushroom in it which was easily picked out and she ate the majority of it and I polished the rest off. I thought it was fairly flavoursome and not a bad veggie alternative at all!A small improvement would maybe to be to pre-check the orders(we'd placed the order maybe 4-5 weeks ahead) abd notify people of it a bit sooner so they could change. It didn't affect her meal too much as there were no big chunks of it and it didn't stand out in the taste. So no negativity, just maybe room for improvement there.Staff.The staff were nothing but polite and efficient the whole night, can't fault them at all. It wasn't super busy but we regularly got asked how our meal was and were regularly asked if we were ok for drinks.Price.Tomahawk is always on the pricier side and you get what you expect. I spent £40 on the set menu then £11.70 on 2 lager shandies(designated driver) which is a high priced pint for the area, but given the seaside setting with a view and quality of the atmosphere, building and food, I didn't mind.Overall it was a lovely meal and a nice place to spend Christmas with the family.

I have been to a few Tomahawk restaurants and this is far the best .Staff are fantastic and always helpful. The views over Saltburn are outstanding. The downside was the parking it is a busy seaside resort so no parking nearby. We went for the 3 course meals for £20 All in . it's a shame we are all Alcoholics as I spent more beer than food .

Restaurant itself is lovely and the food was unbelievable but the service was a little slow towards the end. Our mains order was taken quickly and didnt take long to come but it took around 40 minutes for our desert order to be taken and they didn’t have what we were after

A good steakhouse that suited our breakfast needs. Sat in an idyllic environment that opens out like a ray of sunshine from a couple of nearby not so pleasant (on initial face value) villages on route.Accommodating staff, couldn't help enough. Good atmospheric outside seating and a view to die for.Once done there you can walk in the pier as well as the endless sandy beach.

I was a bit doubtful that a chain restaurant could be any good and I'm glad I was surprised by just how good it was. The parmo croquettes are absolutely stunning in looks and flavour. The moo pie again was full of flavour and so was the dipping sandwich with gravy. Great staff and beautiful view out over the beach.
