Great experience being involved with language tours. Thoroughly enjoyed supporting students visiting Scotland. Great fun while being well supported by Clare.

As a host family we are grateful to Clare for bringing fun and laughter back into our home. Since our children left home we have missed the hustle and bustle that teenagers bring into the house. With being a host family, that has brought that all back. The students are very polite and are very grateful for all the host families efforts at giving them a warm welcome. The smiles and sometimes tears as the students leave tell you that they had a brilliant time. This is an excursion that we would have loved to go on when we were at school. Big thank you Clare for all your hard work.

We have been hosting French school parties visiting the North East for a number of years now. We look forward to offering hospitality and a warm welcome to them. They enjoy their day trips to local attractions and further afield. I think they really appreciate returning back to the host families for a hearty meal and a good rest from their travels!

I have worked with Language Travel Tours for over 9 years now as a teacher welcoming students from all over the world to teach them English and take them out and about locally. It has been a joy to meet so many different students and learn about their way of life. I have always found them to be engaged and willing to learn. In addition, the support from Language Travel Tours has always been excellent. They have teaching materials, advice on lesson plans and are always at the phone if needed. I have met other teachers through the Language Travel Tours network and enjoy being part of the team. Thank you!

We have hosted (for quite a few years) numerous small groups of French children, or their teachers, for 4-5 day visits and a few children for longer periods 3-5 months for immersion in English language, etc. We would highly commend it. It benefits both hosts and visitors. We have had lots of fun with our visitors and we are still in touch with a few of them, re-meeting some on our own visits to France. Since we have recently relocated we very much miss this experience. Claire's organisation minimises any hassles in pick-ups, etc. and smoothes the management of visits - brilliant!

We first started hosting last year having heard good reports about what Clare does at Language Travel Tours. We were totally surprised how much we enjoyed the first hosting experience, have done quite a few more since, and look forward to many more. It is very much a two-way immersive experience - the students are typically curious, well brought up young people looking for a cultural experience. This is on offer in abundance in the north east of Scotland and we enjoy hearing what they have learnt/discovered on their day trips in the area, sharing stories, and learning from their (French) culture, language and ways. There is a strong sense of community about it too e.g. interacting with other host families, and just feeling a part of doing something meaningful. For us it is a compliment that the students make themselves at home (we usually have 3 or 4students at a time), and bring a bit of life into our house. With Clare's model of hosting the students are out touring all day. There is always a carefully planned timetable that does not interfere with our day time work commitments. Clare guides you carefully through the process when you're new to hosting, and is always on hand and available for the duration of each hosting. We highly recommend!

As a new host family we weren't completely sure what to expect from hosting teenage students. However the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. John and Karen

I would highly recommend Clare and Language Travel Tours for English language programmes and cultural tours. There is so much to learn and see throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

We have been hosting French (and some Spanish) school students for 4 years prior to Covid. The students are great fun and we feel a great deal of satisfaction from giving them a good experience of Scotland.
