Lots of great venues! Super loud on a weekend afternoon :-) but if you like that atmosphere, kudos to you! Across the street at the Mharsanta was more calming.

There was a very nice craft Christmas Market, all the vendors were really nice and it was a very good oportunity to get gifts.

I moved to Glasgow as a student and as I came I seen ppl here are very friendly and welcoming so is the city and the city is very beautiful and filled with places to vist

Merchant Square
Merchant Square is really an interesting place to dine in. There are many restaurants under one roof. We visited two to three different restaurants over 2 days as some of them were not opened on certain days due to COVID restrictions. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the variety of food served at these restaurants. One of it was at Franell where we had Asian food for lunch. You should try too.

Merchant Square is great for getting away from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow city centre. A quiet haven to have drink or something to eat in bar/restaurants such as the Metropolitan. A winner for sure.

Came here over the Christmas period when the market was on and as the city is so big there were two different ones but the music was nice and loud and they had themselves a great atmosphere!As this was Glasgow of course it was raining but this didn’t stop us!We got to see all the Christmas lights and the market and it was just a whole other experience and it was something I would always do whenever we go up to Glasgow.

We had a gift voucher for Metropolitan inside Merchant Square and couldn't be more impressed. The food is definitely pricey but the quality was amazing- I would really recommend the fillet steak. The entire Square has a great atmosphere and is a great venue to start a night out.
