First time using this Halfords Autocentre. Brilliant service from the team. Arrived early and was seen straight away, assistant manager really helpful and resolved an issue with my car at no additional cost. Would happily recommend this particular Halfords Autocentre and will defiantly use again

I had booked at this centre for 4 tyres to be fitted. I found the centre manager Daniel very rude and aggressive! He came across very arrogant and barked orders at me to park my car elsewhere before I come in to the centre. I had to cancel my booking on the spot! Imagine what kind of fitting service would he provide if his attitude is this bad towards a customer. I have complained to the Halfords head office.People should avoid this centre if they want to prevent potential customer service issues. Because the manager is confrontational, rude, aggressive and has no customer care or service skills.

Unfortunately poor performance indeed. I turned up for an MOT no more than 3mins late (according to GMT)… which I apologized extensively for. The gentleman at the desk, although polite was not too helpful or compassionate. Thankfully, after some pleading, they agreed to keep the car for a later slot that day, which felt like it had to be won.In the end - Failed the MOT on unwarranted grounds. The mechanic said “ a car always fails if there is a tps light is on” - I later have found that this is factually incorrect. In fact the tps light has passed the MOT on this vehicle on two prior occasions, over two years. In fact Vauxhall has not found a way to turn it off despite perfect tyre pressures. We tried to explain this but they were not having any of it. I later found that a failed tps light in fact should be written on the advisory section (as it had been for the prior two years). The garage also tried to claim that the service was due, this was also factually incorrect and in fact was not.In the end a complete waste of time and it felt like I had been bullied by rogue tradesman.My advice is too try and know as much as possible about a trade before going to a cowboy tradesman, I felt that going to a reputable company would minimize that.Personally in the future I will AVOID AT ALL COSTS. In fact we went to a local family garage and they were amazing.

I visited this branch for an MOT. I was greeted by Asim who was very friendly. My MOT was done in an hour and Asim spent some time explaining what was found in a way that was clear and easy to understand.I waited in the branch at the front desk for part of the time and when they were quiet, the manager and assistant manager had a nice conversation with me. In all a pleasant experience for me, thanks guys!

I’m really not sure what has happened with this Halfords garage? They used to be really good but after the fiasco i’ve been through with them, i doubt i’ll use their services again!Firstly they decided to ring me whilst i was on my way to tell me that they were short staffed and couldn’t look at my car. Ok i thought, could have rang me earlier but can’t be helped. So i rearranged it for a week later. The second appointment comes around, rings me upSaying they are still short staffed, a little annoying but ok you can’t predict how long people are ill and so i rebooked again. Third time lucky? Not this time! I turned up, they said they can look at one aspect that needed fixing but the diagnostics machine was broke. So they looked at the one aspect and said they’llNeed to order the part in and book me in again. Ok fine, at least we are making some progress.4th appointment comes around, the guy who last served me forgot to book it in and even order the part… i got an apology and assurances it’ll be booked and and the part ordered. 5th appointment comes around, i decided to ring them first to see if everything is in place… oh no they forgot! So i took it somewhere else they did it within a day and for 1/4 of the price! So not only were they messing me about but they also was going to rip me off! They also said the price was so high but it needed an official part, turns out i didn’t. So they also lied as well.I have never had such poor service as this and i’ll never use this garage again!

Booked a free suspension check well in advance. On the day I came early in the morning and was told it would be 2 hours. So I chose to wait nearby. I called 2 hours later and the car hadn't been touched yet. It wasn't until 4:30pm that I got the call to collect the car, and was told that they couldn't give me a full quote because one of their parts suppliers was now closed. Maybe if they had seen the car sooner this wouldn't be an issue! Another Halfords garage previously saw my car immediately which was far better. The free checks are their least priority clearly and they put other paid customers ahead even if they come later. Anywho, they quoted £350 for replacing a single coil spring, and couldn't quote for the top mount but was promised a call on Monday with a quote. Monday came and went with no quote. I found another local garage who replaced both front coil springs and 2x top mounts for £340 including VAT. Man am I glad I didn't go ahead with the repair at Halfords. What a rip off that would have been. To top it off whoever was driving my car to identify the noise fiddled with my dashcam and faced it upwards, not sure why? Was the route he was taking secret? For the next few days my dashcam kept restarting itself and I had never had issues with it before. I had to reset it to factory settings and wipe the memory to get it to work again! They did to their credit identify a genuine suspension issue, but apart from that, I have nothing else positive to say.

Amazing service from start to finish as usual. Efficient, friendly, helpful, communication is excellent there is nothing hidden and no nasty surprises with the bill. Will always be my go to garage, highly recommend.

5 times my vehicle has been booked in to have its tracking done. All of a sudden on the most recent visit they said they can't do it as it would mess up the acas system. What a bunch of jokers.

Contacted Ford who were prepared to discount their original quote from £341 to £300 but couldn't alter the date it was booked in for being a fortnights time.. I then checked around as advised by fellow Kuga owners and found the RAC if non member would be around that figure, the AA was cheaper if a member for home start but the best was Halfords whose stop start battery is guaranteed for 5 years in comparison to Fords 3 year guarantee. So got in touch with my nearest Halfords Auto Centre and it' was booked in for the next day at a total cost for the battery and fitting of £176 that's some saving Arrived at Halfords Autocentre Oldbury West Midlands 10mins before my allocated spot in order to book vehicle in. Real friendly guys in reception estimated 40mins to change battery. Went for coffee over the road at Dunelm, 40mins later received phone call that my car was ready for collection. Back to reception different guys in there but just as friendly as the others. Went to car started it and everything appeared to be working okay also for the first time in last two years the stop start was working. 10 out of 10 for Halfords , nearly half the price of Ford, able to fit next day to Fords 2 week wait and having to leave car all day, where Halfords next day fitted at time slot I chose. Battery guaranteed for 5 years to Fords 3years.
