NCP Tamworth Gungate

Horrendous carpark company, both pay machines were out of service a few months ago and many people were unduly issues with parking fines. I attempted payment by card which seemed successful at the time but for some reason didn't complete the entire process. I attempted to appeal, but was rejected on the grounds that others had managed payment that day. I am disgusted at how I have been treated by this company and as a dad to one child and another on the way could really have done without this unfair charge. Would recommend every driver to avoid this carpark at all costs.

NCP always feel better in their ones, not a rip off and safe. It's the standard really.

Only 1 star to enable me to get to put on a review (should be less) Loads of space but rarely do the ticket machines work. Pay by phone app charges an extra 30p. Needs rubbish clearing from the car park too as its a meds

They changed the app used to pay and it is not user friendly, the machine does not accept cash, it tells you to follow instructions on the card pad but the screen is scratched so badly you cannot read the instructions and the contact less is very hit and miss. The old app worked flawlessly and was very simple. Now it is almost impossible to turn up and quickly pay, so many angry and confused people standing around the machine !

If you have a car and you need to park it in Tamworth then this is a great choice. If you don't have a car then it's not worth the trip to visit it. If you're not going to Tamworth then this is too far out of your way.

Awful Car park. Both payment machines are out of order 95% of the time, not everyone is comfortable paying via app or has the facilities to do so. You then cannot get through to customer service to discuss these issues and get sent a massive fine because you can't pay at their faulty machines. The state of the car park is atrocious, always covered in litter and glass which is not only dangerous when parking your car but also a health and safety hazard to the general public. The car park has never seen any grit in the winter, turns into an ice rink. When I can get through to customer service i have aired my concerns and they advise they will send maintenance out to fix the issue, which of course is a promise that is never followed through. For anyone reading my advise would be to park in the council car parks either side of the NCP and just walk the extra few steps and save yourself a load of issues and fines.

Right in the centre of Tamworth for 45p per hour! It's a good price.

Ticket machine broken, app down, phone is not answered. Then you get a £100 fine 6 weeks (!) later saying it's their final notice to pay while no previous communication was done. Absolutely disgusting of a company! I will avoid ncp for good, not only in Tamworth but anywhere in the UK. A rip-off company that should be boycotted.

Both payment machines are out of action, one has been this way for a while the other seems to have been vandalised with glue. Wasted time phoning up the help line. I had to install the app to pay. Others might not have access to do this and get fined.

Machines don't work half the time and it's a total rip off. You shouldn't have to pay to spend money in your own town that's another reason most the towns are shutting down
