Had a lovely meal in The Swan beer garden yesterday served by a young man called Jack Wyles. He was polite, friendly, helpful and charming. He brought our wine, glasses and a glass full of ice out for us. The food came up quite quickly and he checked that we had everything we wanted. He made our visit an enjoyable experience.

Good food but poor service. We regularly order from here as one of the better Chinese takeaways in Brentwood. Ordered our dinner this weekend and an item was missing, we were repeatedly asked to double check, implying we were lying and then were told they wouldn’t drop the item off and that we can come and collect it! We ordered a delivery order rather than collection so was a ridiculous suggestion.

Regular customer of this Chinese for many years but unfortunately will not return. Ordered my usual and when I got home it was not what I ordered. When I called up to tell them, the woman told me I was wrong. Then asked me to bring the food back (soup!!) and was going to charge me the difference between the two meals.1) why do they want the food back? Are they going to pour it back or give it to another customer?2) the price difference couldn’t have been more than a pound yet wanted to charge me even though I would have had to come out of my house and let the other food go cold.3) the woman told me I was wrong - why would I bother calling up for no reason and obviously I know what I ordered.Very rude way to speak to customers, no apology whatsoever in fact she blamed me.Our family will never use this Chinese again and I will make my friends aware too. Judging by the other reviews this attitude by the staff is a regular thing.Side note: don’t order chicken sweetcorn soup - it might have been returned from someone else!!

Worst experience ever from a chinese. Like many people reviewing this restaurant, what I ordered and what I got were two different things. When i asked for a refund, they were so rude. Definitely won't be going back.

Good very rubbish. I particularly requested for a Singapore chow mein with no shrimps, prawns or any sea food whatsoever, but I was delivered a chow mein full of the stuffs I didn’t want. The food wasn’t tasty, very bland. Crispy shredded beef was told it’s a a non sweet sauce but far from it. The only thing that tasted good was the veg spring rolls. I literally just wasted my money. Good thing my son and hub eats anything be it tasty or not (lol) myself and daughter have been left to chips and nuggets tonight. NEVER EVER buying from this restaurant. Delivery time too is nothing to write home about. Was told 17:41 but got it 18:20. I made order by 17:00pm

So annoyed! Wish I could give no stars! I ordered the rice and chicken balls meal deal for my autistic daughter and asked if they could keep the chicken balls separate as she doesn’t like them mixed and they refused! I can’t see any good reason why. She doesn’t eat the sauce so I didn’t take that which saves them money, they could have used a smaller and cheaper container for the rice. Just pure jobsworth with zero concern for a mentally ill child!

Really disappointed with the service that I received following a complaint about the sweet and sour chicken balls. There was hardly any chicken in them, mostly thick batter but apparently because I didn't complain straight away, the food has had time to change. I called the next day but apparently even if I had called 2 hours after receiving my food it would still be my fault for not reporting it straight away. How chicken can shrink that much is beyond me. They have no email address to send pictures to so I'm putting them on here so hopefully they see them. I don't usually complain but I wasn't happy with their response at all.

I ordered via JustEat. My delivery came via their own driver within a reasonable amount of time and the delivery driver was as expected, polite and friendly.I ordered House Special Fried Rice, Chicken with Ginger and Spring Onion, and Salt & Pepper Squid.I was not expecting sauce with the fried rice, it does not mention sauce on the menu but it came with sauce. If it mentioned it came with sauce I wouldn't have ordered it. Nevertheless, I ate the rice that wasn't covered with the sauce and it was nice.The Chicken with Ginger and Spring Onion was spot on, nice flavour and the chicken was succulent.The Salt & Pepper Squid was a let down. Although the flavour was good, there was no crisp and the pieces of squid were too big, almost the length of the container. Usually the container should have a corner cut off to keep the crisp but I think it may have cooked for too long too. Not sure.I think I will give them another go. The prices are reasonable and it wasn't all that bad. I will order other dishes and perhaps be able to add more stars to my rating.
