I've been meaning to leave a review for a while because despite living nowhere near Islington, I've come back to this shop a few times now as a great little place to not only get tea & gifts, but also take people visiting London as part of a their visit. I usually leave having spent more than I intended to, but am a very happy customer regardless.This is partly down to the quality of the product, but mostly down to how great Carmen & Mo (who just magically always seem to be in whenever I visit) are at talking about tea (and life), being down-to-earth and approachable good eggs, and helping me & my friends select the perfect thing every time, whether it's another addition to the tea cupboard, or several bags of loose leaf to placate demanding Asian relatives back home.Have been to other B&B branches and gotten a good customer experience, but nothing on a level with the one I consistently get here. For me, the ability of the staff to make you feel welcome really elevates this shop to a destination. Cheers for your help with my christmas shopping guys, see you next year!

My partner and I were in the Angel store for their Magic Potions mixology workshop and loved every second of it! Carmen and Nathan were warm and wonderful. The blends we tried were delicious and learnt a fair bit about the different types of tea and different brewing techniques. I'd have loved an opportunity to mix and match flavours and create blends while were there as well.

Bird & blend is not just a tea shop, it’s a positive and cheerful vibe, friendly staff, tasty drinks and much much more. You can choose among a wide range of infusions, teas and explore your options for hours. Staff knows what they’re talking about, very knowledgeable and attentive to customer needs and always deliver top-notch service.

It's not hard to find a tea shop in London, but how many tea shops are happy to welcome a chatty American in and keep the conversation going? That's what this place is: happy. Everything from the charm of the shop, to the wonderful scent of teas in the air, the stellar customer service, you can feel that Bird & Blend wants to bring joy to your tea drinking. The blends themselves are creative, the color changing lemon tea is magical, and the sales associates were happy to talk about everything from tea suggestions, to brewing recommendations, to how tea is served at your home. Did I spend too long chatting up the wonderful company and sipping my magical tea? Yes. Did I purchase some 'gifts' for myself here? Yes. Did I stay so long I did a second round of shopping to get proper gifts for other people? Also yes.And I would do it again. I wish I lived close to this shop just to walk in regularly, smell what's brewing in the air, and say hello. If you're an tourist looking for some tea gifts, like I was, you should definitely give this place a try. (Also, plenty of seating and clean toilets are always a bonus!)Can't wait to stop by again!

We went for the tea blending workshop for my sister’s birthday. They provide boozy & non-boozy tea drinks to kick off the class, very delicious (I had the chai and the unicorn). The class takes you through the differences in types of tea, complete with smelling and tasting. Really fun tea ice breakers for the group as well. Then there’s time to make your own blends based on what you tasted - you get to blend 3 teas of your own and the guide can help recommend combinations. You also get a goody bag with other teas you can try. I don’t even like tea but I fully enjoyed myself!

My friend and I came for the magic potions and tea mixology workshop and to say we were impressed was an understatement!I don’t know much about tea (other than making a builders tea) and found them to be a font of knowledge! Mo and Carmen were perfect hosts and ensured everyone was catered for and ensured we stayed cool. Hundred percent worth every penny!

Absolutely my new favourite place to buy tea in London!When you barely enter the shop you are immediately greeted with the complimentary tea cup which I found awesome! The selection is massive - everyone will find something for themselves.Also another great thing is you can try the tea before you buy it or smell it - I find this so helpful to decide what you buy in the end.Staff is very helpful and lovely, will definitely come back for more!

Wow, what a delightful assortment of eclectic teas and what great and cheerful service, with advice on tea flavours and how to brew them. Not your run of the mill tea place.

I have been to all their shops in London. Their matcha latte and chai selection was amazing, especially the ice cream one. Not to mention the drinks are all vegan-friendly. This one stands out because they have a pretty seating area downstairs and the staff seemed the most friendly imo. Highly recommend to be your frequents as they offer stamps.
