Martin the owner was friendly. laid back and accommodating. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Short honeymoon stay from a Red Letter Days voucher bought for us. Perfect if you want quiet, peaceful accommodation set in a heavily wooded area and happy with a short walk up the hill for breakfast rather than any pampering etc :-)

The owner was welcoming and pleasant and very helpful. Ourr room was stunning of very high quality furnishings and extremely comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a nicer birthday break - thank youDarrin and Sharon from leigh

We booked for two nights and the first night we arrived the room looked Ok, but not great.When we pulled the quilt back to get in bed, there were black hairs in the bed.We smelt the pillows and in my opinion the sheets, pillow cases and quilt covers had not been changed since the last guest.We came home the next day and cut weekend break short, it ruined the whole break.Totally gutted to be honest .

I recently spent 3 nights at Hilton House. Location is good and is walkable from City centre but the room lacked very basic amenities. The shower had very low pressure with intolerable temperature. The room didn't have WiFi coverage and the flush tank took ages to refill. When complained about it, i was told to access WiFi from the passage then i realised i should have booked a passage instead of a room. I did not enjoy staying here for above reasons.

Lovely big room. Breakfast not advertised on their own website and booking states clearly 'room only'. Owner can do nothing to make other websites amend their listing. Any problems quickly dealt with. Notice in room clearly states that if you leave your room by 9.30 in the morning it will be cleaned and the bed made. As owners of a holiday villa ourselves we know very well that some guests never bother to read the terms and conditions or the booklet in the villa telling them how things work. They then either bother the housekeeper or don't use the appliance and put on a review saying it didn't work.

Everything was perfect, from room and furnishings, to the quality of the bedding and pillows, room serviced daily, tea and coffee fill daily, location great, we had an amazing time and will definitely return, I would highly recommend to anyone.

Poor service, wasn't as advertised ... No breakfast available. The room wasn't cleaned in our 3day stay, nor were the towels changed. Stained walls by the bed, ripped cushions and very uncared for grounds. We will not be recommending this stay. Windermere was however stunning as usual.

This is a great B&B. Martin welcomed us at the beginning of our stay an hour and a half before official check in, and allowed us into our room. The room was clean and tidy, and a lovely size. There wasn't breakfast, but this wasn't a surprise as I'd read in other reviews that it wasn't being served. The door to the bathroom did stick, and the shower not as powerful, but not a major issue. I would definitely come back to stay at Hilton House.

Very poor service. The manager did not communicate very well in case of issues as and when needed. The bedroom door did NOT close properly, this made it difficult to lock the door. Also the double was far too big for the room, which meant every time the bedroom door would open it, would hit the bed posts. The bed left hardly any room to around constantly injuries to the elbows. Also the cabinets were to close to the bed even when tried to move the away. They still to close and hit my head. On arrival the did not check the toilletries on the first night. He did not I dictate which wall sockets were working. The manager did NOT inform us when the heating turns off, I was Freezing..!!!!!!". Their was a lamp not working also again these things were discussed but shouldn't of been overlooked on the first day of arrival. To many health and safety issues. The boiling kettle was then place on a chair in the small room which could sculded us. NOT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. The manager should of been more sympathetic and placed us in my a bigger and safer room. It was poor service. Lucky this hotel even got one star. I slept on the floor. Bye bye never again."

We stayed at beaumount house in oct, and it was a very nice and clean b/b but our room certainly was not superior and was far to hot we had to sleep with window open even though it was raining. Water pressure in the shower was very weak Breakfast was very tasty. The one member of staff we did see was very helpful and pleasant
