Lovely modern riding school & the staff friendly. There is a few bench’s which over looks the jumping area, on a sunny day these are lovely to relax on.

Super professional yard and Lisa really knows her stuff! Lisa’s coaching approach has been instrumental in helping increase both my confidence after a bad fall and my riding technique! I also love how she runs her yard. I have a very demanding and busy job and due to the fact I live about an hour’s drive away I can’t afford to waste much time. I’ve also found that Lisa’s is the only place that allows for earlier morning lessons. I can be on a horse by 8 and then back at my desk by 10 which is perfect! There are yards closer to me where I do not have that confidence in their time keeping.

This might sound like a short story but worth the read if needing to learn to ride in a short amount of time.I came to Lisa with 4 months until a holiday which I would be needing to ride comfortably for 2-4 hours a day, for a week. I am a 20 year old man with little-to-no riding experience at the time but I was assured it could be done.Lisa who owns Hemps Green has a huge range of ponies and horses for anybody wanting to begin to learn and progress also.I was assigned Anna as my instructor who from minute 1 was incredibly welcoming and she also gave me confidence that I would be a comfortable rider in the time frame I had.I started off with 30 minute lessons as my body wasn’t used to using riding muscles, but after around 3/4 I changed to hour long lessons, well worth the price and after each lesson I felt I was getting more comfortable and confident in my ability.Anna and Lisa were constantly encouraging me and tested my knowledge of basic riding mechanics and also what I had learnt in previous lessons. As well as this, when the flat work was becoming easier, head girl Kerry took myself and my girlfriend on hour long hacks around the countryside nearby to the school. This was also super helpful as my holiday was going to be across the country. Kerry taught me road-riding basics which again I knew nothing about before this.Many thanks to Lisa, Anna, Kerry and all those working at Hemps Green for getting me riding comfortably in 4 months with no previous experience.Would recommend to all riders of varying ability. Top riding school with great welfare and love to all their horses.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Upon my arrival I witnessed the owner bullying one of her female members of staff. If she behaves that way with her staff then what would she be like with the horses and customers? Avoid this place. I hope the staff don't put up with this kind of behaviour and stand up to the bullying.

Cannot recommend Lisa enough, very professional and understanding and an extremely good trainer. Horses are fab and I learn such a lot in each lesson - very good value for money.

Absolutely brilliant place to ride, great arena, and Lisa is an amazing instructor, who takes time to explain technique and pushes you to do your best.

I have been training with Lisa for nearly 6 years now. I have gone from strength to strength with my horse. She encouraged me to go out and compete and when I’ve lost my confidence she’s encouraged me to get back and find my feet again. Cannot thank Lisa and her whole team enough. It’s always lovely going to Hemps Green you always feel very welcome

Hemps green is a fantastic yard; we have been there for nine months now; my daughter has succeeded very far in her jumping and flat with the help of Lisa Spence (coach) which is an excellent trainer, very knowledgeable training, supportive. I highly recommend this yard to everyone. We couldn't be any more happier than at Hemps Green Equestrian

A small riding centre but surely we'll equipped with a nice outdoor school, a wonderful xc course and field, lovely staff that know what they ate doing. And the horse are very much loved and very well taken care off.
