Lakenham Surgery

Every experience I've had with this surgery has been excellent. Truly excellent, not just compared to the sadly lowering conditions across the NHS generally. All staff seem to really care and, importantly. seem to actually have time to listen. From receptionists to the doctors and nurses (special shout out to Penny). We're lucky to have this surgery in the community

Can’t fault them. Can always get an appointment, getting through on the phone if needed is easy, reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. I’ll miss my GP as he has recently left but my new GP Dr Prabhu was excellent and such a nice Doctor. My Husband has recently received excellent service from another GP also. We are grateful, as I know not all people receive this service from other surgeries. T. Hewitt.

I have been with the surgery for almost 20 years and have found the care and attention without reproach. I would imagine that any delays in waiting times is because the doctor had a patient that needed unplanned additional time due to their medical condition. If i were the patient that needed this extra care I would be extremely grateful. After all it is not like making a hair appointment. Keep things in perspective folksRegardsAndrew D

I can’t recommend this surgery enough. I have been with them 5 years and always get a response for myself and 2 small children - often getting same-day appointments. I feel very lucky to be registered here.

Every time I call this surgery to book an appointment they are extremely rude and unhelpful. Not really sure why and I really was not going to give a review but it was the last straw today. I really hope something will change eventually.

A quite fabulous surgery, the best of 10 and more surgery I have been registered with over the years. Extremely helpful staff, wonderful nurses and caring conscientious GPs. The surgery also runs a number of clinics eg asthma, smoking, overweight etc. Appointments to see the GP are made the same day. As a 77 yr old, the excellent level of care I receive from the GPs and nurses couldn't be bettered. A big thank you to all the admin staff and GPs.Want to express a big thank you to all the admin staff and nurses who at the risk to their own lives during the Covid crisis, went on to provide the same high level of care as their patients have come to expect from this outstanding practice. A virtual hug to all the staff and nurses.

Wow, the rudest receptionists you could ever speak to. Maybe the health of the nation would be improved if people were treated like humans and not something they stepped in. If calls are recorded, just listen to a few samples. Please don’t respond to this asking for me to contact the surgery as that involves speaking to them again!

Thanks to Jeanette ( nurse ) , calmed me down so much to have my blood test . I have a huge phobia about needles, but Jeanette got me into such a calm state of mind . I didn't feel a thing ! Such was her professional attitude to a very nervous patient . Huge love NHS❤

Ridiculous wait times. Some good doctors and reception staff but an average of 40-60 minute wait for a PRE-BOOKED appointment. The scheduling is atrocious and doctors who take longer in appointments should have that factored into their schedule.
